The countryside of Bentota was so enjoyable and you could find beautiful scenery. I recommend you to explore its surroundings with a scooter and wander here and there.

I took this picture near the massive Xuanwu Emperor Statue at Lotus Lake in Kaohsiung, and honestly the scale of it surprised me in real life. Standing right below it makes you feel tiny. I really liked how the dark clouds and dramatic sky behind the statue gave the whole place a mysterious atmosphere.

The details on the statue itself are also pretty impressive when you get closer, especially the sword and the dragon elements around it. Definitely one of the most striking places I visited in Kaohsiung.
