reddit.comSeniors, what is the selection process for Smart Interviews?

Hey seniors! How does the selection process work for Smart Interviews at SNIST? Is there an initial coding/screening test, and what level of questions should we expect? Any tips to clear it? Thanks!
Seniors, are YourDOST and Smart Interviews training actually useful?

Hey seniors,
Our batch was just informed about two programs by the college and wanted to get some honest feedback:
YourDOST: College partnered with them for online and on-campus counselling (Tuesdays/Wednesdays). Has anyone used this service? Is it actually helpful and private?
Smart Interviews: Orientation is on Thursday (20/08/2026) for DSA and OOP Java training. How good is this for placement prep compared to self-studying? Is attending it worth it?
Would love to hear your experience. Thanks!
Today I have labs all day such as lpe app lab , and i am not attending them for some reason am i doomed not attending my first class?(ece 1st year)

Looking for a coding partner for my first-year journey
I’m a first-year college student and I’ve just started my coding journey. I’m currently learning C from scratch, and I’m looking for someone who’s also learning to code (beginner or even slightly experienced) to learn and grow together — especially those who are serious about it and want to grab a good internship and placement in the future.
The idea is to have someone to:
- Share progress, resources, and things we learn
- Discuss doubts and problems
- Stay accountable and actually be consistent
- Work on small projects together eventually
- Share the struggles and wins along the way 😭
I’m not looking for someone who’s already an expert — just someone who is genuinely interested in coding, serious about improving consistently, and aiming for good internship and placement opportunities.
If you’re also starting out or looking for a coding partner, feel free to comment or DM me! We can figure out what to learn together.
Hey guys I am a fresher actually didn't attend any classes (ece) I'm coming frm Monday are they teaching anything?

I LOVE C3.SNIST & SREE GLUG ❤️!!!!
I LOVE C3.snist (Cloud Community Club).
Tbh, I knew NOTHING. Today was my first day in the club, and I FELT SO GOOD 😭!! Unlike all the clubs, genuinely, clubs are usually a waste of time, but this one is crazyyy—not even for a second did I feel left out or dumb 🙏😭. People were very much into the work that was assigned, and everyone seemed genuinely interested in what they were doing. Also, I didn’t know I could actually do something productive without getting bored!!!!!!!!!
It’s basically all about DIGITAL FREEDOM.
Unknowingly, we often end up giving too much information to our mobile apps...so many permissions 🙏. We don’t realise how much access we give to random applications and how easily our data can be tracked, collected, or used by them.
And the craziest part is that most of the time, we don’t even question it. We just click “Allow” because we want to use the app 😭. Location, contacts, microphone, camera, storage...we literally give access to so many things without even thinking twice.
But as every problem has a solution, this too has a solution.
There are alternatives for almost every hyped/non-secure app. For example—SIGNAL instead of WHATSAPP. There are so many privacy-friendly alternatives out there, we just need to actually KNOW about them and make the switch.
Today I genuinely realised that digital freedom isn’t just some fancy tech term. It’s about actually knowing what we’re using, what we’re giving away, and having control over our own data.
And honestly, I’m SO glad I joined this club 😭🙏. I came in knowing absolutely nothing and left with so many things to think about. Looking forward to learning more and actually doing something useful with it!! 🫶🏻
Is uni completely different from Snist
I am joining uni this year what can I expect from uni? Are the fests, clubs and sports same as Snist. How is the crowd 🙏
