What makes volunteering meaningful to you?
I’ve been thinking about volunteering and how it affects communities beyond the actual work being done.
Sometimes volunteering is described simply as “giving your time,” but I think there’s another side to it. You get to meet people you might never have met otherwise and understand problems in your community in a much more personal way.
For people who have volunteered before, what made the experience meaningful for you?
Was it the people you met, the impact you saw, the skills you learned, or something completely different?
