Hi there, I've purchased two different solar guitars and have this issue with both of them. I'm in contact with their support and the seller of the guitars to try resolve but wanted to post here as well.

First guitar is a2.7, I noticed this after changing strings but may have been there before. When playing around the 5th and 10th frets it would not hold the note correctly, reverberating in a strange way. This is only really noticeable when using gain/distortion

I've had a tech look, we've tried lowering the pickups quite a lot but it didn't seem to help much.

As we have gigs comin up, I wanted to try another guitar just incase, so purchased a headless 2.7. I was excited to try the fan frets and headless. After a quick tune I popped on the distortion again and it has the same issue!

Solar email support advised the neck may have warped due to weather/temp and to try turning truss rod key 1/4 turns to try and resolve.

Has anyone else had this issue? Am I really unlucky? Any fixes?

HAPPY GUITAR DAY

I just reveived my first Solar Guitar (VA1.6FBB+) and it seems their quality control people are sleeping. Waiting for a reply from the customer service so I can return it. I’m extremely disappointed.

My first solar guitar and I wanted one with fret markers so I went for the Kirk Weinstein X. This thing is awesome, the weight is great and the finish is beautiful. The headstock alone made me buy this thing🔥

Wife bought me a guitar for my bday. I was supposed to get a Gibson Modern Studio, but while trying out the guitars on display, me and my son decided to check out the Solar. And man... We loved it the second we held it in our hands. The playability, the tone, the finish, and the looks. I admit I initially wanted the Gibson because of the name, but the Solar just felt right in my (our) hands. Wife was pleased cause it was cheaper, but no regrets here!
