Mostly thinking about doing a mix of a chinelin rewrite/retake story with EXE styled plot points.

The entire idea is that a romhack of sonic has been circulating, you load onto the game and play as tails. Essentially it starts off like the Normal SONIC.EXE styled story with sonic leaning against a tree and his eyes opening, except instead of them being blood-red iris, it was just silent black w/ one white iris sticking out and glowing.

You then run through a weird greyed out stage, before eventually arriving in a darkened corridor with nothing but the same sonic standing there, smiling almost.

This sonics head then snaps around, and before you could understand, it starts running at you, initiating a boss-fight type thing. No matter what you do however, this Sonic will not die, and so, you give in, allowing tails to get caught. Upon his capture, the game crashes, leaving nothing left of the torture, and instead restarting at the title once more.

Tails can also avoid the constant death via the usage of its flight ability, HOWEVER, the next level after, a glitched hellscape triggers a instant kill at the hands of the hedgehog unless you actively use rom hacking tools to cheat and make your way through the stage, at which Tails would transform into the Sonic via the usage of malware which would then re upload the game elsewhere, restarting the cycle for an innocent player.

I also wanted to implement an idea that closing the game mid cycle makes the Tails forget meaning that it sort of voids that cycle.

The Sonic in this story starts docile, believing it IS the real sonic but the chinelin code slowly takes a stronger grasp over its mind and effectively transforms it into the beast by the end.

What happened to this sub? Not the fact that there isn't much activity, i feel there probably is, but, what happened to the quality?

Like its been almost 2 weeks and (not to offend anyone) most of the art posted here as been...pretty bad. Like theres some absolute gems, but most of the time, it feels like we're letting children join with how little quality there is anymore.

All the good stuff i feel is now in r/sonicexecustoms (holy blast from the past when i used to be u/ConceptMak3r), and its honestly sad to see.

If i had to give constructive critism, we should maybe get people to wait and practice more on art before joining. As much as i hate to say it, theres some art here that i honestly don't like, sometimes its not even art, and just edits of others work. I really hate to see it. This is a good subreddit but i hate how its fallen in terms of quality.

TL:DR - The recent quality in art in this subreddit is really bad, to the point of seeing edited artwork. Mods, please, wake up.

I am developing a Sonic.EXE FNAF Fangame called Fight or Flight, where you spend...well, 5 nights in a building, with several EXEs hunting you down to slaughter you, with some familiar faces coming as skins, purchaseable entities, or even plushies! Though you may find theres something....or someone...watching from the shadows, waiting for its time.
