Help watching a dog.
Hello, my name is Koby and I have been homeless living in my car with my dog since Feb 14. 2026. We recently moved back down here to the Reno/Sparks area and I have landed a job with FedEx. I had someone that was willing to watch him, but due to complications they are no longer willing to help in my situation, and now I am at risk of losing my job.
I am in search of a kind soul who would like to help watch him during work hours. My plan would be to drop him off around 8:00am or so as I start work at 9:00am. And then I'll come pick him up after work around 6:00pm or so as I don't get off of work until around 5:20-5:30pm.
I have contacted the SPCA, Humane Society and other services around town, but I am already getting emails from a couple saying they can't help me.
He is freshly neutered, however you will not be responsible for medicating him or anything of the sort. Just keeping an eye on him to make sure his wound isn't being licked as it cannot get wet. If he is licking it, I have a cone that can be put on him. But he won't need to wear it 24/7 and so far that hasn't been an issue. You also don't have to take him out and play with him as the vet said to not do so he doesn't re open the wound. He will however have to be on a leash when he goes to the bathroom per the vets orders. However, he tends to do his business quickly.
I have plenty of food for him so you won't be responsible for feeding him. Just some water as necessary.
He is also very anxious (non aggressive, he doesn't bite at all) but the vet also provided me with some medication that will help calm his nerves. He is a bit scared of strangers, but with a little effort I have seen him make best friends in as little as a few days to a week.
