Stumbled upon this amazing cafe during a walk in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa. From the outside, it looks like a vintage industrial warehouse with rusted corrugated metal, but inside, it’s a calm, spacious sanctuary with comfortable leather armchairs and high wooden ceilings. Enjoyed a classic melon soda float while soaking in the atmosphere.
Whimsical place for a coffee or a beer.
I’ve been to this café more than three times, and I absolutely love the ambience, the staff, and the warm hospitality. Every visit has been a wonderful experience!
Galle Fort is one of those places where you can spend hours simply wandering without an itinerary.
Beyond its historic ramparts and colonial architecture, the fort is filled with cozy cafés, boutique shops, art galleries, hidden courtyards, and ocean views around almost every corner. Whether you're stopping for artisan coffee, browsing local stores, or watching the sunset from the old fort walls, it's easy to see why so many travelers end up spending longer there than they planned.
If you're visiting Sri Lanka's south coast, Galle Fort is definitely worth setting aside a day or even more to explore at your own pace.
