So lost.

Have about 100 hours in the game. Cannot get out of bottom of iron for my life. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong or anything. It’s so frustrating. Every DI gets countered. Can’t anti air. Trapped in the corner getting thrown over and over again. I could barely make it out of rookie which is just sad. I have a few hundred hours in ggst which I feel like I’m ok at but this game is just kicking my ass. Mostly play akuma.

I just baited for the first time, I’m so proud of myself

This was completely spontaneous too and it worked twice!!!

I fought this player about 2 matches ago, and I realized he punished me twice after trying to drive rush. So I took it to my advantage

Balrog and Birdie the next DCL characters?

I heard their theme song in a match posted online a couple of days ago. Does this mean they will be in this game later?

Also, any chance we will see Kyo and Iori from SNK.

How to get started

I picked up sf6 as a life long street fighter fan. Played it for about a week and felt overwhelmed after skipping 5. Does anyone know a good site for learning the new mechanics with out getting overwhelmed? I think I rushed into rank play and got discouraged. Thanks for any help

New player-wanting advice

I come from a FPS/Hero shooter background, with my main games being Marvel Rivals, OW2, Minecraft, and various story games. My fighting game experience lies within Brawlhalla and 2XKO, the former I played KBM and the latter with a controller. I played Scythe/Lance in Brawlhalla, and Ekko/Warwick in 2XKO. I picked up SF6 to get a grasp of classic controls and a more developed community than that of 2XKO, and to familiarize myself so I can enjoy Avatar Legends; The Fighting Game more.

I tried Invincible VS, but the tag fighter thing didn't work for me.

In SF6, I like how Cammy plays. It's been about a week, I am Rookie 3 right now, and I switched from an xbox controller to my keyboard today. This clip was my first win with KBM.

I am looking for things I should focus on and try to improve and things that I am already doing well that I shouldn't optimize now, I heard the FGC community was welcoming and accepting of new players, so I am here! I wasn't sure the best way to clip it, so I just used medal

I am Cammy, the Dee Jay is a random I was matched up against. I wasn't sure if I should black out their name, so if you could, please let me know the best way to go about clipping these!

For anyone who responds, I thank you for your help and I look forward to future SF6 experiences!

Looking for advice as a gamer with a disability who is just starting out in Street Fighter 6 and wants to compete

Hi everyone,
My name is Tyrese. I’m 27 years old and from New York City. I have cerebral palsy, specifically triplegic cerebral palsy, which affects the left side of my body and both of my legs. I’m completely wheelchair-bound and only have the use of my right hand.

About four or five months ago, my 19-year-old cousin got me back into gaming after I’d been away from it for quite a while. Since then, I’ve discovered the incredible world of competitive gaming, especially the fighting game community and Street Fighter 6.

For years, I watched tournaments and high-level players on YouTube, but this past weekend I attended my first Street Fighter 6 tournament in Manhattan. Experiencing it in person took my excitement to a completely different level. The atmosphere, the competition, and being surrounded by people who genuinely love breaking down the game made me realize that I want to work toward competing myself.
As a gamer with a disability, I still have a lot to figure out when it comes to my setup. I’m trying to find a controller and overall configuration that works with my physical limitations so I can consistently move my character, execute combos, time Drive Impacts, Drive Parries, and other mechanics as effectively as possible.
While I’m still figuring out the hardware side of things, I wanted to ask the community for advice.
Beyond simply practicing combos, what are the biggest skills or habits that a new competitive player should focus on? What should I be practicing now if my long-term goal is to compete at a higher level?

I’d also love to hear from other players with disabilities. What have been your biggest challenges? Are there things you wish you had considered earlier when choosing a controller or building your setup? Are there any accessibility tips that have made a big difference for you?
One of my biggest goals is to see more people with physical disabilities represented in the Street Fighter and fighting game communities, especially here in New York City. Going to that tournament reminded me that the FGC is about much more than just winning. It was inspiring to be around people who are passionate about improving, learning from one another, and sharing their knowledge. It was an incredibly valuable experience that motivated me to keep practicing and build my confidence as both a player and a competitor.

If there are any players with disabilities who are active in the New York tournament scene, I’d love to connect. Whether it’s talking about your experience, comparing setups, or even getting in some practice games, I’d really appreciate the opportunity to learn from you.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this, and I truly appreciate any advice you can share.

Request for advice for a blind player

Good evening, I hope everyone is doing well. I'm posting to maybe get some advice or pointers. To be continued.

I started Street Fighter 6 a few days ago and I'd like to know what to do to improve at the game.

I tried reading tips, but a lot of them say to go watch videos, and since I can't see them, I find that's a pretty complicated resource to use. I know it might be hard to give advice without being in the situation, but I figured maybe someone would have a brilliant idea. I'm currently trying to figure out which character to prioritize for now — I tried Mai.

Street Fighter 6 Random?

One of the tournament leaders and veterans said this game is random. What does he mean by this? Does he mean, for example, a player can miss a move because you jumped over them but then immediately recover to hit you with a light jab?

Are we meant to be playing this game at full-throttle, for hours on end, like robots. What has happened to just playing and chillin

What exactly makes ed so good?

On top of terry I’ve been very interested in learning ed, but im really not good with him. I keep seeing that he’s top tier, and I know it’s most likely user error as to why im not having success. What exactly are the strengths I need to play on?

Why are servers so bad?

I’m from Madagascar and I just started, to be frank I think I shiuld be Iron or something. The servers always put me with people from USA or across the world with 500ms and i assure you it’s not enjoyable for me, for my opponent too I suppose. This is really sad. I just started 2xko and play just fine even if everybody beats me. They should really do something about it. Just lost 20$.

Looking to improve

I just recently got back into the game after 3d printing my own fight stick. I decided to document my journey on my Youtube channel.

I'm currently learning Ed. I'll upload my ranked matches so you can follow my progress.

My goal is to get to Platinum.

Feel free to give me any tips! I'm not new to fighting games, but there is always more to learn.
