Came across Sturgis on Insta

New to all this, as my captions read I randomly came across the Sturgis Rally on my Instagram. Now I cant say that it's a surprise due to the nature of the Reel I watched. I have never been to a Sturgis Rally, so I didnt really know what it was but the Reel I watched was of this smokin hot babe in a bikini with some is the biggest naturals I've ever seen. Her name was Gabby and she was apparently washing bikes. Though, I have never been after watching that Reel made me want to go so bad!!

Have the pigs ruined Sturgis?

I am not a biker and have never been to Sturgis. However, I know people who go or used to go everywhere. They all tell me that the pigs have absolutely ruined Sturgis. They say people cant even walk a half block without seeing some thin blue scumbag with a badge jamming someone up. Has this been your experience?

Is Sturgis safe/welcoming for a Black woman?

I’ve been thinking about going to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally next year, but I’d really like to hear from people who have actually been there.

I’m a Black woman and I genuinely love motorcycles, the music, and the whole biker atmosphere, so Sturgis looks like something I would absolutely enjoy. The only thing holding me back is that I’m a little nervous about how I would be treated because of my skin color.

I’m not trying to stereotype anyone or assume that everyone there is racist. I just know that Sturgis is a huge event with people coming from all kinds of places and backgrounds, and as a Black woman traveling there, it’s something I have to think about.

Have any Black women or other Black bikers been to Sturgis? Did you feel welcome and safe? Were people friendly, or did you experience racism or uncomfortable situations?

I’d especially love to hear firsthand experiences. I really want to go because the motorcycles and music are right up my alley. I just don’t want to spend the entire trip feeling like I don’t belong there because of the color of my skin.

Thanks ❤️

Most think we're all too dumb or drunk to get outta the rain but the fact is we don't want to break our necks in the mud so waiting for it to clear up and walk out safely
