During the most recent seasons of Australian Survivor I find the amount of chats off to the side during Tribal really annoying and distracting.

I think a couple of times during a season to exploit strategy is great & interesting, however the sheer amount of times it occurs, sometimes in a single tribal makes it unenjoyable as a viewer & distracts from the full impact of the vote

Just finished watching all stars again and I just realised the first 2 votes were Jericho and Shane “ there massive threats” but Lee made merge and didn’t even get voted and we all know how god Sean did so it’s perplexing to me that the players seem to want to get out
players and then miss 2 people that have hella expierence and were inches from winning

In my opinion it’s either 2016 or BvW. BvW I swear half the cast had a full frontal lobotomy before playing and in 2016 it was mostly predictable and the middle of the premerge was obviously kinda predictable with the same tribe winning literally everything for like 6 straight rounds

Watching the contenders go through these challenges honestly amazes me. It’s not just the physical side of it either — the mental exhaustion must be absolutely brutal too.
They’re surviving on rice and beans, sometimes coconut, sleeping on dirt or bamboo, and then having to push themselves through these incredibly demanding challenges day after day. I genuinely don’t know how they do it!
And honestly, if it were me, I probably wouldn’t even make it onto the island — if I had to swim there, I’d be going straight back home 😂

I wonder how long the challenges actually take. I know in SURVIVOR Turkey 🇹🇷 they show every single minute of every single challenge AND All of TC. It runs for hours.

What do you guys think of this season? Especially the treatment of George!
I’m still only on episode 7. I have watched it before, years and years ago and remember that I felt sorry for him. I still do. I hate any type of bullying and felt he was bullied then and still do. He’s just different.

GREAT SEASON!!! i feel like people were more knowledgeable about the game, and were more willing to take risks and commit to specific strategic options. people were actively scheming and working out the numbers games and i loved it. i think henry and tessa played the best strategic game, henry in taking social risks (eg. swapping tribes) and tessa in working out numbers and where votes lay and defying the odds early on.

my favourite dynamic was luke and jericho. literally one of the best duos i’ve watched and they bounced off each other’s humour so much and made the whole thing feel lighthearted. it felt like two chaotic little brothers. least favourite dynamic was sam and mark in the first few episodes. i genuinely felt so uncomfortable watching them cuddle and act like a de-facto couple. a special mention to tarzan and tessa’s relationship which was so sweet and just made me so happy.

>!jericho in particular i think played an excellent game with a particular focus on building genuine social connections and influencing people with his positive attitude. his pitch wasn’t as dramatic as kristie’s in s1, but by the final tribal council i felt like him winning made perfect sense. and his final immunity challenge! he made it look easy! my favourite players in order were: tessa, henry, michelle, luke, jericho, TARZAN, ziggy, jacqui, and kent. kent purely for entertainment purposes.!<

so far i’ve watched: season one, season two, heroes v villains, titans v rebels, and redemption. season two ranks above heroes v villains, but below titans v rebels, for me. keen for season three!

It was hilarious the first time but now I feel every season there is a clip of every bit in a tribe running into the sea with nothing on? I’m just confused why? Is this on other versions or is it just an Australia thing

Got no idea whats said outside/after the game
but seems like too many friendships? was the downfall for David

The only way for him to go further was playing with George and unfortunately that was not the case
because he had Luke, Janelle, Sarah so why would he??
I mean he could have played it completely differently so..

Any different thoughts or insights?

It was tedious, it dragged and I was waiting for it to be over but people told me I should have skipped it and I'm glad I didn't

It has good moments, the Jordan and Samantha vote off were hype, I love watching Sandra play and Samantha stealing the idol was jaw dropping but it still led to nothing, the reason why I don't regret it is because of HvV right after

I just watched episode 7 (the Fraser vote off), and I'm speechless. Watching Jordie's journey in a boring season feels like a payoff for some reason. It makes it feel much more rewarding

For us lucky UK viewers, the (Australian) Heroes vs Villains season has just been placed onto BBC iPlayer. We only had Blood vs Water up until now, which was arguably not the greatest entry point into the show (and our own 2023 UK reboot was sadly cancelled after one season).

Now a whole new generation of Brits get to see the likes of George, Simon and Shonee work their magic!

Let’s hope some more seasons get added soon.

Is fish and chips a popular thing in Australia 🇦🇺 like it is in the UK 🇬🇧?

I’m late to the party on this…

I love Australian Survivor but I find the producers of the show really overstep and their interference can really destroy storylines.

I bring you the case of Shonee and Liz; 2 amazing players with a great bond.  Watching them work together was amazing fun. You could feel Shonee pulling for Liz from the jury, and whenever the producers made the decision to have the players remove a jury member, it absolutely destroyed one of the greatest pay offs the fans could have had.

Watching Liz struggle and fight her way into a winning position is something that Shonee and the fans should have witnessed. 

Imagine the joy Shonee would have expressed seeing Liz walk into that final tribal council with the mother effin immunity around her neck!  It would have been absolutely epic.

Then, we were denied Shonee being able to ask the jury questions and we were completely deprived of a winning reaction.  

The producers of AUS Survivor pull this shit a lot.  It’s like they just can’t let the players fucking play the game. 

They’re meddling is usually done at tribal, and it undercuts the players and the game.  “Guess what!? You didn’t just vote a player off, you voted them onto exile!” Or worse yet, not even telling the players that their vote meant NOTHING until they see the person they voted off show up the next day at a challenge… now part of the other team.

When the players make a decision to vote someone out of the game it needs to be left alone.  It absolutely destroys the game when the producers go against what the players have decided.  The players voted Shonee onto the jury and that is where she should have stayed.  

The producers shit all over the fans and contestants with the HvV season. The players made the game thrilling ’despite’ the producers willingness to fuck things up with ‘twists’ and fabricated drama.  The drama was already there, they just didn’t trust the players enough to make the show compelling, and as a result they fucked up everything.

I will always be bitter about how we were deprived of a Shonee/Liz reunion at final council.
