Excited much kaya nauna na sa invitation/notification for the MariBank credit card

Saw this on threads. Do you also keep all your debit and credit cards?✨💳

Hawak niyo padin ba lahat ng debit and credit cards niyo simula noon? Some people collect and keep them. Kayo ba?

‘They were laughing’: Puregold staff face criticism over MariBank payment issue

A viral social media post has sparked criticism after a netizen alleged that Puregold staff laughed at a customer who was reportedly unable to use a MariBank card.

“What did not sit right with me is the cashier and the baggers pinagtatawanan pa nila yung customer pag alis.”

The netizen also alleged that staff joked with other customers, saying the shopper might be the “tagapag-mana” of MariBank.

Meanwhile, a supervisor allegedly told the customer: “No matter which Puregold you go to, they won't accept it. We have just one management.”

The incident has since prompted other customers to share their own experiences with MariBank cards at Puregold.

Went from having no credit history to an 828 TransUnion score in 1.8 years. Is this actually decent?

I have 828 credit score but I'm still getting REJECTED for credit card applications 😂 The past 6 months, lahat ng tatlong applications ko ay declined HAHAHAHAHA

Sample 😆

So I'm curious, is 828 actually considered a good/decent score in the Philippines?

Would love to hear from people with similar scores/situations.

Add: Anong meaning nung "segment"?? Hinalughog ko na buong internet and I cant find a public TransUnion table that maps those segment numbers to a particular meaning 😭

Around 2 years ago, gustong gusto ko magka Credit Card dahil convenient siya pambayad plus the rewards and perks that comes with it. Pero hindi ako naapprove. 🥲

Then ayun na nga! Sumakses na! ☺️

I think on-going pa itong Rewards promo nila: https://www.reddit.com/r/DigitalbanksPh/s/jbvQ1Hlkeh

First time applying for a CC, any suggestions?

Hi. As the title goes, I want to apply for my first cc. I just turned 30, and ang thought ko before is "ayoko mag apply ng cc kasi baka hindi ko mapanindigan" or baka masyado akong mahumaling kaka-swipe and mabaon ako nang hindi ko namamalayan.

I work in an office na halos araw araw nakakasagot ako ng phone calls regarding a coworker na hinahanap na ng bangko due to unpaid bills, so nakadagdag sya sa apprehension ko.

But i actually want to start building my credit na, kahit mababa lang. Please help me by suggesting kung ano ang best as a starter cc.

EastWest JCB Platinum Approved

Hi. I have an existing credit card with UnionBank, had it for a year now. Last year, I tried applying online for an Eastwest Platinum Mastercard pero parang hindi gumagalaw ang status/walang update so hinayaan ko nalang. Last month, I was doing groceries sa Shopwise and was approached sa isang credit card booth doon, tho if I remember correctly RCBC yun. I applied naman kasi parang gusto ko pa rin ng isa pang CC for points.

Tapos last week, may nag message sa akin that my Eastwest application was approved. I checked pero iba naman yung application number dun sa number ko from last year’s application. Dineliver ang card today and to my surprise, JCB Platinum card sya with 6 digits CL (x8 ng initial CL ko sa UB 🤯)

Now I’m wondering how did I get approved for this card? Is it worth it to activate it since it’s not NAFFL? Mejo torn ako if iactivate ko siya pero useful ang malaking CL for future expenses/travel. And if ever i activate ko sya, how can I maximize its perks?

Thank you po sa sasagot.
