It has been known for many years that the "Tammy" sample in A Different Feeling is not from the famous 1957 Debbie Reynolds single.

But no one has ever been able to find the actual source. Was it even Debbie Reynolds at all?

Well, on Discord a few days ago @Historicvl suggested a 1974 re-recorded single of Tammy by Debbie Reynolds as the source.

And then @naj was able to get a copy of the 1974 Debbie Reynolds album that the single came from and confirm that it was indeed the source of the Avalanches sample.

So it was Debbie Reynolds all this time (as the album credits say) but from her 1974 re-recording, not her 1957 original.

I was playing around thinking that maybe The Avalanches' Song For Barbara Payton could match well with Charlie XCX's Everything is Romantic.

So the playing around went further, some samples are really obvious (James Blake, Sampha, Ela Minus etc.), but I thought, what the heck, sometimes you just don't need to sample soviet folk bands to do a nice track :)

The demo is very rough and has nearly zero mixing, but sounds fresh IMO. So I wanted to share it with you guys. Hope you like it!
