Need Advice

I recently received my beloved childhood toy returned from a “hospital” that restores and fixes dirty/broken toys but I did not like the end product. How should I cope with this situation? Should I go to another place and ask for help or should I just leave my toy be? (the first picture on the sofa is the before and the one with the orange bow on it’s neck is the after) The main issues I had with it was the extra hair they added on (which I didn’t request) + the over stuffing :/

Help cleaning!

Hi there! My mom found a box of my things from our move from Atlanta to Southern California back in 1995. For the most part, Teddy Ruxpin has been saved really well. I’m hoping that you guys can give me tips to clean out the battery terminal. Thankfully, only one battery eroded. I’ve put baking soda and white vinegar on the metal to try and scrape off. So far, just using qtips, kabob sticks or paper towels to wipe off.

Any suggestions? Is this a lost cause? It would mean the world not only to me but also, our entire family. Out grandmommie carried her teddies so much as a child that Teddy became her nickname. Inside I found ‘The Airship’ and I lost my pilot father about 2 years ago. Any help would be great appreciated but also, I understand if this is a lost cause.

Thanks in advance, photos for help

Pls help me fix my plushie !!!

I've had this plush for a year, I tried hard to take care of it but I couldn't stop it from getting damaged :(

The hair is hard and almost flat in some sections and the face (mainly the chin area) has some kind of stain that never comes out (Pictures 2 and 3). It's hug almost every day so most probably its due to grease and rubbing. Picture 4 is how it used to look like before (june 2025), the hair has little fibers that used to change color tone when you run your finger over them (im not experienced in this so i dont know how it may be called)

I've tried everything I could, I handwashed it every month or so so it wouldn't get worse, but it looks like it hasn't do much. Any feedback or tips would be appreciated, I love this plush so so much so I would love to make it look just as pretty as it was before.

Note: If it helps, the tag says it's made out of polyester

how to remove something glued onto a plush with no damage ?

i’m in the process of cleaning up this 1960s raggedy ann , but her yarn hair started coming off as i was giving her a bath becuase it was dry rotted so i just removed all of it .but now i can’t replace it because i can’t stitch through all the glue holding that red fabric onto her head . is there a way i can dissolve that glue ? i was trying to rip it off but stopped as i have to be very gentle becuase her face is the tiniest but dry rotted as well

anyone know how to fix this?

it’s really loose and it’s a hard hand model for sdcc invincible it came loose and kinda spaced out in between the hinge so i’m guessing that’s the problem but what’s the fix for this type of joint being loose?
