Connected to this post,arachnid doesnt just mean spiders it covers alot of animals.

Spiders,daddy long legs,scorpions,tics and bunch more,so having her named inspired that term doesnt really make sense when she has insperation purely from spiders,if she had mix like stinger/tail (scorpion) ,sucks energon(blood)(like tic) etc then ya makes sense but no shes purely spider.

And I still stand by she should be named Arachne named after the woman Arachne in greek mythology who was turned into spider and origin of term arachnid so it makes more sense if they want reference in name

I go into more detail in this post but in short my main theory of why Optimus pressed button to destroy cybertron was some form of manipulation,lies,mis info or hidden info,and after rewatching it with my brother im convinced it was somthing along lines of Megatron made cyberworld,made the button to transport all to cyberworld and make it seem like cybertron was destroyed and made Optimus do act of pressing button.

Some form of black mail,lying,manipulation,previous relationship like Transformers one type thing and saying they can go back to being freinds and pretend nothing ever happened,force just straight up gun to head(I hope not) etc but absolutely Megatron.

Maybe forcing Wheeljack to do acts of building cyberworld/the button cus Id find it intresting if he got forced to do stuff by 2 decepticons but that theory is less strong.

This is gonna be mix of how imprinting works and how optimus deals with it post war might come off as unorganized.

Imprinting is a thing botlings and creators/care taker do when they first see eachother,the botling gets super attached to the care taker/creator and the creator/care taker gets very protective.

Care taker vs creator is different,a creator is a prime that chose to make the bot,the care taker is who imprints and cares for the bot till they go off on own,care takers can be the creator prime,different prime,medic,city speaker,older member of the feild (so like an older librarian care taking for a soon to be librarian) etc.

All creators are primes but not all care takers are primes.

Some primes hate the imprinting feeling,busy or other reasonings they pass the botling to a different care taker.

For Optimus Roller and Cliffjumper are the first botlings to imprint on him/him getting attached to,it feels very weird to ever make bots post war,he got far more attached then any other prime normally does,Roller and Cliffjumper never even fully leave Optimus,treating him like how humans often treat a parent rather then the cybetronian norm of not even remembering your creator/care taker.

He spends a while procastinating on ever making any botlings,the Primes and others assume its just him getting settled into being a prime intill they eventually relize he isnt making any and theres being a slight population decline in his city so the primes nag him to make some,he trys to be a care taker but just cant,he feels physically ill with the first couple bots,it feels like betraying Cliffjumper and Roller.

Giving the botlings to different care taker feels like betraying himself, he hated not knowing his creator and slipping through the cracks,he doesnt want that upbringing for any future bots,the matrix trys to help but he ends up passing botlings onto others like Ratchet and Windblade. They try to let him know its super common for Primes to do that but he still just feels guilty about it. He does his best to make sure every bot in his city knows the creator and his city does end up becoming more people knowing and having purpose but some still dont or will not.

I like to imagine with O.P. feeling protective over Roller/C.J. vs Megatron being protective about Bee is very different like Optimus would threaten but would never actually attack unless you seriously are pushing it basically trying to start a fight though he prefers to just gaurd via arms and say stuff verbally vs Megs will just straight up stab you point blank in the throat no warning if you just happen to walk up behind him in a hall and he didnt hear you.

The dino bots in my au arent stupid or new like in other versions there first generation(first group of bots made by Alcheimist back when Primus just died so thousands of years old)scientists.

They went as a group during dinosaur age to study earth,each having different jobs (collecting samples,leading,defense,flying over head to see terran

and animals).

They took on dino alt modes for protection and1 to not scare the wild life,they got knocked out/fused when aestroid hit(Think Rid2015 when Bee team fused cus of explosion)

And millions of years later them(as fusion) woke up and began wondering around.

Bee found them and his mind imedtly went to frankensteins monster so he ran back to base using audio recordings from said frankenstien movie "ITS ALIVE ITS ALIVE!!!" "MONSTER" type shit so Optimus and couple other bots go to check it out,the fusion is just scared and confused about where they woke up and fact the fused so there more then content to follow Optimus and other autobots. They got medical exam by Ratchet and they relize how much they have missed and how long they've been unconcious for.

Wheeljack is absolutely extatic to meet first generation scientists like them he goes on long rants and chats with them for as long as hes able to.

They have lot of flora that grew into them as years passed so it takes a while to get all that out,voice also very scratchy and bad at first which just fueled Bees "you must be monster" at first sight idea,especially when they unfuze the twigs and vines make it a very uncomfortable un-fusion.

The fusion goes by they/them pronouns and we/we're when talking about themselves,they would tolerate any pronouns especially when first meeting but prefers using gender neutral ones because the bots that make up the fusion are mix of

she/her

he/him

They/them amdcouple

it/its

ze/zer

I maybe posted about this before idk.

I'm gonna use they/them pronouns for this future Ratchet because I have no idea if they'll be ftm,mtf or some form of nonbinary.

In the toys released for Cyberworld Ratchet they look very feminine,not just like lip stick or whatever but how there facial structure is(which if they end up being under trans umbrella its nice that theres physical look not just label). Theres also past records for g1 of in concept art and production Ratchet was originally going to be female but changed to male,the name is even referencing a murderer female nurse Nurse Ratched,so to me it makes sense for an eventual trans story line with them.

I imagine the story line going somthing like either secret past and its slowly revealed there trans in the past,maybe dead name of Rathed and them hiding/destroying records and everyone thinks there destorying important documents but there just trying to hide that part of themselves,or it could be like since its heavily video game themed they find a charecter customizer type thing and everyone else is just trying on new colours and stuff but Ratchet switches genders and is noticably more comfortable with there body languge. Or even straight up conversation about it if there in nonbinary spectrum of talking with Bee or whoever saying they were born a gender but dont really like the way it looks

I'm personally hoping they align with how I identify where I was born a girl I identify as a girl but much more comfortable looking male and liking when people can't tell the gender I am and still in process of understanding there gender,(or reverse of this just swap girl and boy words)the chances of it are pretty low I can only hope,any trans rep would be nice though.

I was writing lines for Megatron and Orion and I was gonna write Megs complimenting his details and I thought the word was mecha but no its f*cking greeblies,I cant take it seriously at all 😭
