Started off with the 99$ special Typhon. Had a couple other arrma 3s rigs laying around to rob parts from. - 4s metal diffs, castle 6s motor Traxxas 2200motor from udr. Random receiver and transmitter from and old redcat. I plan on swapping over a set of udr tires once I find them in my mess.
(Lighter to cover the battery choice for the Traxxas lipo haters. I got a a bunch in trade and they work great)
Finally got my dbxle and outcast 8s fully serviced and cleaned. I love how they look out in the sun when they're all cleaned up. Now we wait for this heat to break so I can actually drive them.

I just got this second hand udr in a good condition for a decent price, but it has an issue, the lights won’t stop flickering. The mode select button doesn’t not work and in the app it does not detect the high voltage amplifier.
I have my rustler 4x4 vxl for 4 years now from the pictures you can see it is heavily upgraded. Iam considering aluminium motor mount, aluminium bellcrank and some parts from the new redesigned rustler 4x4 that is now in preorders on traxxas.com
I plan to buy the aluminium parts from aliexpress and i dont want the traxxas ones. Iam hoping the motor mount will take some heat off the motor and make the slipper clutch more stable because of bigger bearing so i would like to ask about your opinion on this and if it makes sense to upgrade. Next is the bellcrank i bought the traxxas aluminium linkage and that introduced a lot of slop and i think its time to go somewhere else because i want a little more precision and adjustability. So i would like to ask how is the aluminium bellcrank holding up over time and how much slop is there?
Now about the second part the heating issue i have hobbywing max10g2 with 3665 3200kv g3 motor (i only run 3s lipo) and savox sw2210sg servo at 6V. The esc is perfect, after heavy use i stop to check temperature and the fan stops spinning 10s after i stop and the esc is barely warm in 30°C weather. The motor is worse i have a heatsink and a fan but i can hold my finger on it for about 4s and the worst is the servo. I jave no idea why but it gets so hot that i cant toutch it for even 2s so should i add heatsink to it or maybe a cap pack to the reciever?
After searching for a couple months finally found a clean one! Love this livery too.
Mini LMT still an awesome buy in 2026. Not the cheapest mini but pretty fast and puts a smile on everyone’s face
Redcat MT18 might have won me over from the Mini LMT with its excellent fine control and it stands up on its front. Mini LMT is very close though, but it can’t do quite this well in a small indoor arena.
I bought this gensace lipo battery about a year ago and it is really good. It gives you more power, heats up less and has higher capacity for the same size. Iam using this in my rustler 4x4 vxl and i cant complain on anything. The battery just lasts forever in my rustler. Only problem is that it comes with XT90. (i will move over someday hopefully)
