Honda City Turbo sneak peak
Had to try out this kit just to see if it looks as wacky as the photos and so far it’s pretty darn close. Build incoming!
Some shots while it’s nice! Tekno MT410 2.0 Chevy C10.
Finally took this thing out and like always, when I don't bring a back up car or tools, it takes a poop in the first 5 mins. Driveshaft came out of the drive cup. 😑 I swear I'm jinxed. Lol. Bonus pic of the
reinforced body.
Disclaimer: Yes. I already know I'm using a Traxxas battery. I don't have any other 3s batts atm.
You guys may remember when I studded some screw holes on my Kraton 8S, well they’ve held up pretty well!
What’s this noise from my EZ-Peak charger?
Noticed battery charge didn’t last as long. It’s barely been used and been put in storage mode after every period of use and has been well looked after, it’s not old at all.
Noticed alongside this, the charger was making this really weird grinding/straining/abrasive/fast noise when discharging the battery. Took my battery and charger to my local RC shop and they tested the battery and said both cells are flat, which I am shocked at. Car is set to lipo mode and it’s been otherwise well looked after as lipos should.
We assumed it was just unlucky so I bought a new battery. When plugging this new battery in though, this strange sound from the EZ-Peak charger is happening again! Battery lasted much longer this time, but with this noise when discharging i’m worried the charger is responsible for breaking the last battery and don’t want it to do the same to the new one.
Is this a normal sound for the EZ-Peak charger to be making? It’s kept in my room and is not dusty at all or got wet.
Thanks!!
HPI Maverick quietly dropped a new truck! 1/12 QByte!
amainhobbies.comFirst break in the udr in 3 months!
Got my udr 3 months ago and it’s been much more durable than people say, completely stock nothing upgraded. But now it’s time to start replacing, thinking rpm or gpm for the sway bar. Is there better options?
A few pics of my 12s dbxle
Just wanted to share a few pics of this thing since ive spent the last few weeks working on it. Added a few new upgrades and did a bunch of cleaning and maintenance. Figured I should take some pictures before it's disgusting again. Thanks for looking!
good 5000mah 3s lipo battery
My 4000mah 3s lipos are starting to trip the low voltage detection with voltage sag, so im in the market for new batteries. I recently found out that traxxas batteries are actually way overpriced for what they are compared to their competitors. So far ive been looking at these: https://www.amazon.com/Gens-ace-5000mAh-Battery-Brushless/dp/B01JCSOJIYIve heard that Gen ace is a reputable brand that makes high quality batteries so thats why im interested in them, but if anyone can point me to batteries that provide comparable performance with lower cost, that would be great. Also, how much of an upgrade are hard-case batteries compared to soft ones? 2/4 of my soft case traxxas batteries so far have ripped at least slightly, so thats why I ask.good 5000mah 3s lipo battery
Bought myself a KCRC ramp!
Finally got one of these ramps. Been wanting one back then, but for some odd reason the shipping was too much ($120 CAD). Now I only paid $40 or so for shipping which I was pleased to see.
Anyway, less about me, and more about the ramp. I went for the widest option available which was 48 inches since I suck at driving 😆😅 Also bought the heavy duty panel for it just in case. Safe to say I'm happy with this ramp 👍 Took a pounding and still in one piece 💪
Where do you guys like to drive your RC? Chassis wear and tear
Man the team corrally shiroi is an absolute beast on 6s! I really enjoy ground bashing on gravel and dirt roads. Ran 2 packs thru the truck today and was a big surprised at the wear I'm already getting on the truck. Can anyone else relate? I'm worried what condition the truck will be in with say 10 or 20 packs ran thru it running on gravel. Anyway, they can't stay pretty and new forever.
One success and one failure
Landed hard on the first backflip on 6S. Then the second time was a dismal failure. But fun to watch.
I need some input on batteries
So sadly I think I know the answer but I’m just gonna ask….are my packs cooked? I had been noticing on my xrt that the chassis tray had some tabs cracked on it but didn’t think much of it. Truck has garage lyfe battery tray with straps and I think they are too long. For the 4 sets of packs I ran it seemed fine but tonight it took some hard tumbles and I noticed some of the straps seemed loose. Lo and behold when I took the shel off I saw snapped battery tray tabs and then I saw the wrinkles on both packs…pissed me off since I have been putting off installing the new chassis but I guess serves me right.
Does anyone bash with soft packs? Really liked these ovonics and they seemed to have more punch than the traxxas 6700 for a third of the price. But I’m not trying to lose a truck over 100 dollar pair of batteries. Now I know why the traxxas batteries it came with are hammered lol. What hard packs do you guys use? I saw Amazon has the chnl 8000 4s hard packs. Are those good? I plan to send in my batteries to swap out for new 6700 for 50% if they still do that. I’m sure these have been beat by previous owner lol.
Full fleet here. Oldest rig has been with me for nearly 9 years
I've about had it up to hear with this charger.
Im a responsible owner/adult. I have a Maxx V2 with the provided Ez-Peak plus 4S charger. It was all fun and play until this charger started acting up. I have to wear rubberized work gloves so my fingers don't get hurt pushing this plug into the charger then plug it into the wall. If I plug it into the wall first, it immediately refuses to charge and slings an error. Now it will start charging but a few times during the wait I have to start the process all over again because it brings up the error like the plug maybe pulled out the tiniest bit. Any advice? Is there a better option? Is it my battery or like I think, the charger? I got it to finish, but I had to fix it 3 times.
