I’m a burlesque performer who is a computer angel that came to earth to try to be human. My og head was an actual crt monitor. It looked cool and I was able to stabilize it by putting a bike helmet inside. Main issue was the weight limited my movement and hurt my neck like crazy. I had a friend 3d print me a much lighter shell and I moved the electronics etc to it. It’s not big enough to fit a helmet in so I stabilized it a little using couch foam. The last two time I performed with my new head I had issues with keeping it stable. Since it won’t fit a helmet I was going to try taking the chin strap from a bike helmet and putting it inside. (I want to avoid more foam because it’s already very hot in there). What would be the best way to attach a chinstrap to the plastic shell? I was thinking maybe screwing the straps into little wood blocks and then using some sort of glue to attach the wood to the shell? I don’t know much about binding plastic to different materials and what bonds would hold up under pressure.
