Hi everyone! My partner and I are looking for roommates to move in start of July! (Women heavily preferred) We are offering a private room with its own private restroom. The apartment is mostly furnished aside from the empty room for rent. There is a laundry room on site. Apartment is 2 blocks away from UCR, the neighborhood is nice and quiet. We have a small well behaved cat, so pets are allowed. We are tidy, friendly and easygoing. Looking for chill roommates to share a space with. Rent is 1050 +utes per month. Dm me if interested :)

Looking for summer housing!

Hi! I'm looking for summer housing from June 22 to August 29.

Preferably looking for somewhere that is close to campus: 15 minutes or less

I can pay rent from 400 to 700

I don't mind sharing a room with someone. I am fairly tidy, and I keep to myself.

Another thing regarding the room, unfurnished is fine by me. I have a bed + other things for the rented space.

Note: I am a woman, so an all-woman space is highly preferable.

If anyone has any sublease's that fits this, please DM me!

Off-Campus 1B1B/Studio Advice Needed

Hi. I'm an incoming PhD student starting in September. I'm trying to find a solo place (1B1B or true studio, no roommates) that's within a 20-minute walk to campus.

I’ve been looking at Windwood, Highland Parc, and Summer Meadows so far. Has anyone lived in any of these? What is your experience?

Also, a quick question: My PhD stipend doesn't meet the standard 2.5x income requirements on its own. My parents are going to help back me financially, but they are outside of the US, so having them as guarantors might be a problem. Does anyone know how strict the apartments are about this?

If there are any other good off-campus spots for solo living then definitely let me know. Thanks!

UCI Student Subleasing Website

hey everyone! I'm a current 2nd year/soph at UCI and my team built unilet.app, a student-only marketplace specifically targeted for subleases (supports general leases and takeovers too tho!!)

As someone actively trying to sublease my place it's been pretty hectic and I felt the overall process is really disorganized and lacking a dedicated platform, so we made this project.

you sign up with your .edu email so it's all verified students. you can post a sublease if you're leaving for the summer or a takeover if you're graduating and wanna pass your rate to someone. completely free to use; you can browse/post/message all within UniLet at no cost!

there's some listings up already but I'm trying to get more on there to make it useful. if you're already posting or looking for a sublease, feel free to add our project to your list 😼

would love some feedback on how it looks, any suggestions would be much obliged, thanks for reading!!

Newly amended UCR student looking for housing

As the title states I got accepted in the Fall of 2026! Super excited but housing is really stressing me out!

I'm not the traditional student, I stayed at my community college for 4 years because I was working full time and studying, (couldn't stay with family complicated relationship), and have been providing for myself since I was18 until now.

Im trying to find a living sitution for me 24f, bf 24m and my small dog shorty (had another dog Anubis but he sadly passed due to cancer less then a week ago still hurts my heart thinking about it).

The reason why housing has been hard to find is because 1) I have a partner that isn't a UCR student and 2) I have a dog and 3) RENT! We all know that the housing market is ridiculous and Im only a student 😭 with that being said I have been renting for 4 years never been evicted, and have always paid my bills on time. I have a good chunk saved up so I know I can pay for rent and deposit (so can my partner) the problem is finding a place that will house us.

I was looking at housing off campus but all the student housing require each person in the house to pay per head, be students at UCR, and have CRAZY RULES such as no guest, no pets, etc. If Im paying 800-1,500 for a ROOM I better be able to have who ever over for however long (with my roommates consent).

Because of this I was looking into buying an RV with my partner but finding a long term RV park had been very hard and now Im on reddit looking for any advise please help!😭

Looking for off campus housing

Looking into off-campus housing options near UCR for Fall 2026. I’m ideally looking for a private room in a quieter/shared apartment or house setup, preferably cheaper than current campus housing(paying $1400 for a two bedroom deluxe in North District 2). I have a car so I’m flexible on distance. Open to roommate situations with other students/young professionals. If anyone knows of openings or has advice on good places to look, feel free to message me.
