I've wanted to own an Ultraviolette for a long time. Ever since I first saw the F99 nearly three years ago, I was completely sold on the brand. I remember constantly talking to my mom about Ultraviolette—from the F99 to the F77—and I even considered booking the Tesseract ( waiting for the infra to improve in pune then I'll go for it )
Owning an Ultraviolette feels surreal, not just because I'm now part of the UV family, but because it's a brand I've admired for its engineering and design philosophy. As someone pursuing Automobile n Transportation design, being able to own a machine created by one of India's most ambitious design-led companies makes this milestone even more meaningful.
I chose the X47 over the F77 because I knew my real-world requirements. My riding is primarily daily commuting, and the X47 delivers exactly what I need in terms of range, practicality, and efficiency.
Cudnt go for the recon because of the budget but even 150 to 180 is more than enough considering my riding habit and (10 km College commute + 30 daily ) over ice vehicles I own quite a couple ice vehicles and wanted a break and rethought after the recent Gadkari bs. The F99 is still a dream I'll own one day, but this was the right motorcycle for this stage of my journey.
Here's to many kilometers of riding, learning, and hopefully designing machines that inspire someone else the way Ultraviolette inspired me.
As per central government rules 2 BIS helmets need to be provided for a two wheeler purchase but the showroom said they won’t provide and have to buy by paying extra, is this legal?
Took delivery of my new UV X47 Original+ and I’m excited to finally start riding it! 🏍️
I wanted to check with existing X47 owners here, what accessories or add-ons have actually been useful for you in day-to-day riding?
Looking for recommendations based on real usage:
Must-have accessories
Things that improve comfort/practicality
Useful protection/maintenance accessories
Any accessories you bought that you don’t recommend or weren’t worth it
Also, if there’s an active WhatsApp community/group for UV X47 owners, Would love to join and connect with other owners to:
Share ownership experiences
Discuss tips & tricks
Keep up with new updates/news about the bike
Learn best practices for maintenance and keeping the bike in good health
Thanks in advance! Looking forward to learning from the community and sharing my ownership journey.
I got an x47 Recon in April and the bike spent 15days in service centre with one or the other issue. I had written multiple emails to service@ultraviolette.com no response at all
No response on their WhatsApp
Even their Reddit handle: u/uv_support is useless
I had safety issues like
motor cutting off mid way on highway speeds, traction control showing error or disabled.
ABS not working as intended
Panel gaps all over the place. They lied and told me they replaced panels.( they didn’t do anything took a polishing compound and rubber on panel)
Display going blank mid ride
This time they called me to the SC, said they will try arrange for a loaner vehicle (they didn’t) after 1day they said they received damaged panel from factory and cannot install them. They in turn caused a new big scratch on one of the good panels.
I’m just extremely frustrated and advise who ever is considering to buy a UV not to buy one. They are well on track to become next Ola.
I know many owners who face repeated issues. Suspension failures within 5months or 10k kms on x47
Motor issues
Regen issues
Panel replacements
Display issues
And Lot more it’s like x with 47 problems
Took delivery of my X-47 DesertWing recently and trying to understand how the TPMS is expected to behave.
What I observed:
So the TPMS is clearly capable of reading and displaying accurate pressures.
My question is:
Does the X-47 TPMS update periodically during normal riding, or does it mainly refresh when there is a significant pressure change (such as filling/deflating air)?
For existing X-47 / F77 owners:
Just trying to understand whether this is normal behaviour or something worth raising with service.
Thanks!
I recently booked the X47+ and the dealer mentioned that Violetta AI is available as an add-on for this variant. I’m a bit confused about whether I should purchase it or skip it.
I would like to hear from existing owners about their experience with Violetta AI. Is it genuinely useful and worth the additional cost, or is it something that doesn’t add much value in daily use?
Any feedback from current owners would be appreciated.
I ve already tried the standard troubleshooting steps, but nothing seems to stick:

* Toggled Bluetooth on my phone and ensured all app permissions are active.
* Restarted both the bike’s console and my smartphone (left them off for 10+ mins).
* Tried "forgetting" the device and re-pairing, but the bike won't consistently show up or connect.
* Hard reset the bike and tried to connect bluetooth pairing, but didn't work along with the uv technician

Anyone who solved this issue, please help

I just came to know the service cost of my ultraviolete X47 after free service and it's absurdly high. While all other EV manufacturers are providing low cost service below 1000₹ ultraviolete is going 3000+ and thats not even with parts that's basic labor at 3000 just to check the EV. I want to know what's special in ultraviolete bikes that a dozen other EV manufacturers doesn't need to check to cost them 3000 labor for routine service
Guys, I have tried everything i possibly can. As stated in the title, I bought 2 pinlocks and 1 visor for my UV crossfade helmet on June 1st. The product package came to me only in 14th June and it was missing one pinlock. I immediately raised the concern with UV WhatsApp channel and I was told that the concern team has been involved. It has since been 5 days and I had contacted them over email (airspace@ultraviolette.com, support@ultraviolette.com, info@ultraviolette.com), sent a note on contact us webpage, DMed their insta handles (ultraviolette_automotive and uvairspace, even pinged narayan over Insta). No one is giving a shit. That particular pinlock for crossfade helmet costs 1800 rupees and they are deaf n mute over my cries.

Any help on how to contact them or take this further is much appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. this really spoiled the brand reputation for me and I had such high regards for them.
Now it just doesn't stand out anymore, looks like every other conventional scooter in the market. Also the rear passenger footpeg is changed.
It has changed quiet a lot in every aspect
The general idea is present but calling it an updated design is still a stretch imo
The sentiments in the comments certainly isnt positive
What do u guys think are ppl gonna cancel thier bookings in masses

A lot of us have been eagerly waiting for updates on the Shockwave delivery schedule
My graying hair has been waiting to turn black again with the immense fun of riding the Funduro
But that day feels elusive
