Now that some leaks have come out..

A shield related to him was datamined in the files and (allegedly) he has an Electro Linchpin I believe. Do we think the shield means he's an actual shielder or he uses it as a parry in his animations? I'm inclined to believe the latter personally.

PLEASE HELP

Hello, I'm sorry to bother but please don't delete this post and hear me out even for a second. I know what I'm about to say has nothing to do with us, Valeriy and Genshin Impact, but I call for your help. I think you know the video game "Love and Deep Space" that was supposed to release a new LI, Valko the werewolf. However, yesterday the announcement came that the company will no longer release it due to numerous negative comments and backlash from the toxic Chinese community. Again, I know it has nothing to do with us, but you can imagine how Valko fans feel right now-sad, angry, and deprived of a character they've grown fond of. So please, please, please, if you could sign the petition to have Valko released, please do so, the more the merrier. Let's not let toxic fans win. Thank you for your attention, indeed.

There is Physically NO WAY for THIS Guy to be a "4 Star".

I originally wanted to comment about this, but since alot of us Capitano wanters (And Rover Mains if you play WuWa cuz Valeriy looks like him) are directly resonating resonating with this man's design and cannot believe the upsurdity of the current leaks about him, I decided to make this post to clear some things up:

Yes, we know Mihoyo said that character designs moving on from 7.x will be leagues apart from anything we've seen prior, but that did NOT meant differences as big as going from making someone like Lohen a 5 Star (No shade, just using as comparison) in 6.6 and then just a few versions later releasing freaking Kratos as a "4 Star" cuz "New patch cycle. Bigger budget. New me."

From how much screentime he covered, how much exposure he got, alongside additional Apex predatorial motifs of a humongous bear, to his character role, to how greatly he's designed - NOTHING about this man says "4 star". LITERALLY NOTHING.

The whole "Cuz he's not a harbinger" excuse doesn't works either cuz Lynet exists and explicitly confirms that you don't directly need to be a Fatui harbinger to be a 5 Star, and even though Valeriy's not a harbinger, this man's still a freaking General - If Lyney can be a 5 Star despite being a Spy, then a literal War General has no reason to skip out on that either, not to mention it would be a waste of potential income and resources making a character with a design like his a "4 Star" just cuz of what's between his legs.

This is NOT an Ororon situation - Ororon didn't get even 10% of the exposure this guy got in his respective Teaser, not to mention he seemed to have his own signature or ghost (In-built) weapon he was using in the teaser as well.

Full Stop Chan is a leaker known for being full of shyt half the times, with his leak innacuracies increasing especially at this time of the year, but that's true for almost all leakers besides him around this time as well - So unless if it's from Seele Leaks, do NOT believe ANYTHING he or ANYONE else is saying for ATLEAST a month or 2 from now.

Seele has an almost 95% accuracy track record on leaks - He leaked the teaser for exactly today. Other leakers called him out and debunked him, but it STILL happened "only" today, just like "he" said, "no one" else, so again - If it's not from Seele "himself", do NOT believe ANYONE, or ANYTHING.

About his gameplay role

Let me preface this by saying everything here will just be speculation because as we all know, we can’t really trust any kinds of leaks for him at the moment because he’s too far away.

Anyhow I saw a leak about how he will be centered around stellar conduct. So I just wanted to ask yall, do you think he will be a SC dps or support? Or maybe a sub dps? Because I’m thinking that he totally gives the vibes of an on field mdps but I guess I just don’t think hoyo would do that? Like sandrone is the on field stellar conduct dps. And looking at 6.x, there weren’t any two character who were dps for the same lunar reaction. Just a mdps and a subdps/support.

The only thing I can come up with is maybe hoyo is going the cryo version of SC with sandrone and maybe an electro version with Valeriy? But then again they’d have to share supports so I really don’t know. What do you guys think?

I don’t understand why people are saying he’ll be an on fielder

Unless all stellar characters besides Cryo traveler and Anastasia are strict on fielders it makes no sense

Even though we haven’t seen his Vision yet, he’s definitely giving electro with his eyes and clothes

Anyway, the general opinion of him being an on field DPS(most people saying it’s because he’s a guy) makes no sense in this context, I know that’s the norm for five star guys but this is different for a few GOOD reasons

1.Sandrone, she is already a on field stellar DPS, it’s not like we have a 2nd Lunar charge dps for people who don’t like Flins, and based on testing she doesn’t really work as a dual dps

  1. The buffed characters. If you don’t pull for Sandrone Cryo traveler can enable stellar for these buffed units but that won’t last so that role could fall to Anastasia or an off field stellar enabler

  2. Is my personal theory on how stellar Meta will be played out, A cryo dps, a stellar support, FLEX, Anastasya. As opposed to lunar’s one hydro, Stellar is mainly cryo

and then if we look at Odette and Vesna both have stellar pins, Cryo and Anemo respectfully.

Based on early leak leaks, we know that 7.0 is 5* Odette and 4* Alyosha

I believe that will confirm this for me is if Odette is 1.A DPS 2.Stellar Swirl

I know it’s crazy to have 3 DPS Cryo characters in a row but I believe it’s better this way to get them out of the way for the Anastasya’s eventual arrival

And it would confirm my theory about how Stellar teams are being set up and would confirm Valeriy’s role by default

Also, this last part is just nitpicking but he DID summon a bear to fight Alyosha’s wolves and summoning is usually a support type

My guess is sub-dps with a Nuke skill

Based on face-shape, he should have a Tall+ model like Varka and Rerir.

Not much to say here other than; the only men who have the flat-jaw are Rerir and Varka. The regular tall model's chin comes to a point, while Varka and Rerir's narrow down to a more chiseled jaw shape. I would also say this applies to Capitano, due to the fact that his helmet jaw got changed to be flat in Natlan when it previously was pointy.

But either way, this likely means that he will have the same height as Varka. Potentially the second character type to have this alternate tall male model.

Noy also has a slightly blunted chin in the animation, but his face is slimmer towards said chin as well.
