Hello I am gathering info about VESIT mumbai college and i really need guidance from seniors if anyone is available please help me please.

Syllabus and placements . I am very keen on IT syllabus it excites me but Cs seems very theory oriented .

1 . The college being ranked does it matter?

Yes to some extent it does matter VJTI,COEP and SPIT are preferred for high end placements.Some of the companies only prefer recruiting from this colleges so student gets a head start in this case.

Pune is center for both IT companies and Core companies so a lot of colleges can benefited because of that.

But it does not mean other colleges are bad .If you are hardworking,discipled and think out of the boxes you can achieve the same results from other colleges.

2. Is CORE branches worth it compared to CSE.

CORE branches from good colleges is better than CSE from bad colleges.Beacuse of the IT exodus there is a huge shortfall of good engineers in core engineering branches which had led to better salaries in Core engineering .AI boom also had created a niche space for CORE+AI recruitment which CSE people cannot fulfill.

Students in the range of 80% to 90% instead of doing CSE should look for CORE enggineering branch

3. Can agents get me seat in VJTI,COEP or Govt colleges

No they are scamming or cheating.Last year two students where scammed of getting admission in VESIT in management quota while VESIT does not have management quota .Most of the private college have management quota you can go directly enquire and save money.

4. Be patient with ACAP round there is good chance you can land in good college if you can wait till the end.
