I shot this photo on a random walk… didn’t expect it to hit me this hard. “Red Crown of Thorns.”
I’ve been working on a series where I try to capture the kind of beauty people walk past every day without noticing.
This one stopped me in my tracks.
A simple Crown of Thorns plant — but the red was so intense it felt like it was breathing.
I leaned in closer and the texture, the symbolism, the contrast… it all hit at once.
Resilience. Pain. Beauty. Survival.
All wrapped up in something most folks treat like background noise.
I don’t know — maybe it’s just where I’m at in life, but this one felt personal.
Like a reminder that even things built to protect themselves can still bloom.
Sharing it here because this community actually sees art, not just scrolls past it.
Curious what it makes you feel or think when you look at it.
