Help with 7-OH withdrawal with the use of clonidine.

Hey there reddit folks. So I've been a long time reader, but this is my first post. I got myself into a pickle with this crap and not only was I ready to just be done, but this ban has made me expedite the process, lol. I've been crying for months, being so upset about becoming dependent, because I feel like I should have known better. I started using 7-OH thinking it was simply just a concentrated version of kratom. Not doing my due diligence, I just started using it daily and eventually noticed the withdrawals when I stopped taking it. I spoke to my PCP and she gave me about a months worth of clonidine. I really have no clue how to start this process. I deal with chronic illness as it is and to be honest...I'm afraid. The temperature issues are my worst nightmare, lol. I feel like I can manage everything else but the cold sweats and hot flashes. My question is...should I start taking the clonidine while I start tapering off the 7-OH? I've been taking about 150 mg of 7-OH daily for about 6 months following a bad car accident. I suppose I could try to use chat GPT, but was hoping for some advice from real people who have gone through this. I have literally no support system. I know it's going to be a rough few days, but from what I've read the clonidine really helps, I just don't really have any structured idea of the steps to take. Do I quit cold turkey and start the clonidine? Should I taper the 7 while taking the clonidine? I just need some help and would appreciate any advice more than anyone could imagine, lol. Thanks in advance!

7oh withdrawal

So I'm now 4 days off of 7oh (around 200 mgs for about a year), and thank God most of the worst symptoms are over. I really need advice.

I'm exhausted, still can't eat much, and sleep a few hours at a time. The problem is I'm out of vacation, and have to work a 10 hour shift tomorrow, pretty manual labor. If I take a little kratom to get by, will it destroy all I've done so far? Will the withdrawal come back? Any advice would be helpful.

Try to get off the last bit of Subutex after 16 years. Worried about the mental issues.

I've been taking subs for the last 16 years, it was oxy and vicoden before that for about 12 years. For the most of it i was taking 8mg tabs twice a day. Cut down to once a day around 6-7 years ago and thats where I just kinda got stuck, life happens and I just kept the habbit every morning take my sub. I had finally got tired of it so about a year ago I started cutting back again. What worked best for me was to cut my dose in half, and for about the first week if I truly NEEDED more I would break off a tiny corner to get through the night. Thats worked pretty good for me, until I got to 1/2 an 8mg tab per day.

Thats when it started to get real heavy mentally, I supplemented any itchy feeling or anxiety with .5mg ativan or an edible at night to help sleep. During the day I just stayed busy at work best I could. And that worked pretty well, not saying it was easy, it was a big struggle every hour, every day. I was on 1/2 a tab for about the last 8 months or so, but i started tapering again like 6 weeks ago.

Im finally down to 1/8 of a 8mg tab. Trying to do it just once a day, today is my third day. Yesterday was extremely rough. Mostly mentally hard but the physical was a hourly push to get through. Took it one hour at a time.

On top of all that I've got a pretty bad injury to my left side that I've been trying to get fixed,( f-ing insurance and workmens comp like to drag their feet) but i was prescribed something for nerve pain and some muscle relaxers. So I've been taking those and that helps big time with the physical WD but not all.

My plan is to keep taking the 1/8 every day until I feel it plato and lvl off. A few days after that I'll cut that out, either completely or every other day. See how it goes and adjust if needed. My other scripts help to keep the creepy crawlies down and a couple hits off my cannabis cart helps so I can pass out at night. That way I get at least 5-6 solid hours of deep sleep before I get woke up and start tossing and turning.

Thats my plan and idea, I'm worried about this last stage and then being off completely. How hard is the mental going to be and for how long? I worry about the long term effects because I've been on Subutex pretty much everyday at a fairly high dose for 16 years. How long is it going to take for that to fully be out of my system and my brain chemistry to go back to normal?

I'd you read this and it sounds familiar or you have your own experience getting off subs let me know, how did it go for you? Tips are never expected but always appreciated.

Goodluck to anyone else dealing with the same, just take it 1m,1h,1d at a time.

SR-17018 for coming OFF FENTANYL…NEED ANY HELP, tips, advice and experiences PLZ!!! 1st time ever trying this method & have NOOO IDEA WHAT TO DO OR HOW TO DO IT!?!

SHARING A POST I FOUND ON HERE AND ALSO SEEKING ADVICE FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO USE THE SR-17018 TO GET OFF OF A 1.5g/day addiction to fentanyl and can NOT get ANY HELP FROM ANY TREATMENT PROVIDER IN MY STATE SO THAT IS UNFORTUNATELY NOT AN OPTION FOR ME DUE TO MY DISABILITY AND MOBILITY ISSUES! I just keep finding things from people who are or have used it for 7oh detox and like this post mentions, methadone…I AM BEYOND DISCOURAGED AND DEFEATED 😔 Buuut, I have State probation and I even tried to make my probation officer aware of my situation in the hopes of getting the best possible chance of being able to find help!! But the next thing I know, my amazing, gentle, caring and kind probation officer ended up getting a promotion in the next county over SOOO I got a new one who was NOT FAMILIAR with me or my case, (which is NOT THE USUAL CASE!!) Unfortunately I should have filed a lawsuit against the county jail for the incident that occurred while I was incarcerated, that ultimately resulted in my being made permanently disabled!! Not to mention the amount of mental anguish that this allll has caused me!! But I was lucky to be alive and so overwhelmed with my new “life”,
Or reality🙄🤦🏻‍♀️😔, that time just passed so fast that I didn’t even know or realize how little time I actually had in order to be able to do anything about my case and I was just not really sure how to handle something like this and was unsure of whether or not I would actually HAVE A LEGIT CASE THAT I COULD WIN!!!?! So I have done some research and found that I am now too late to get the help with this case because apparently I only had a year to get anything done about this situation legally…I’m in TN…which has a ONE YEAR STATUTE…so unfortunately I will never get the justice I deserve from this situation that has completely destroyed my life and my mental health!!!!! I have suffered for so long and it’s not just going to disappear….it’s only gotten worse for me and my boyfriend, who has had to be my caregiver for two years now and that has taken a toll on our relationship which has also impacted my mental health too!!! Mostly because I have been in a state of depression and anxiety and mourning over my life before I became very disabled!!! Oh yeah, I am only 35 years old now and this all happened almost exactly 2 years ago! I apparently had a couple bad seizures while I was in the jail and they were all so stupid and careless that they didn’t even call an ambulance and then I had another one and they (or someone) finally called the ambulance and I was rushed to the hospital where I had already apparently had a few seizures and a major stroke so I didn’t remember ANYTHING!! I woke up in the ICU, AFTER A FEW DAYS (still not sure why or how long I was out) but I couldn’t feel my legs!!!!! So I was in the hospital for around two months and then went to a “skilled nursing facility”(nursing home) for a little less than a month…& I was still NOT QUITE OKAY NOR WAS I WALKING ON MY OWN but my insurance covered pretty much all that they were going to pay for my rehabilitation 😒🙄🤦🏻‍♀️😔….anyway so I guess I have basically told everyone my life story and I am just gonna go ahead and end this loooonnng azzzz thread now because I never meant for this to get this long but it is what it is….ANY AND ALL HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!💯🙏🏼🥺🙏🏼😒 I need all the help you can muster up for anyone who needs help with this matter & then some…b be& please try to break it down, as i sees f you are explaining this to a child!!!! Just so that That everythinge will be easy to understand for all who needs to understand this exact situation and understand how to be able to successfully navigate the process, dosing, even extra coping mechanisms and other comfort meds….thanks for reading and all help!!!!
