Do you travel differently as you get older?

I’m in my 50s and used to be cabin crew, so travel has always been a big part of my life…..but I’ve noticed the way I enjoy it has changed.

Less rushing around trying to see everything, more comfort, good food, nice hotels, slow mornings and actually enjoying the place properly.

Curious if other women feel the same?

solo backpacking south america

Hi! I’m new to backpacking and I’m planning to do a trip backpacking through a few countries in south america (ecuador, peru, bolivia, paraguay, and brazil) i’m a bit worried about safety since i’m planning on doing this alone. Does anyone have experience traveling in these countries and about how dangerous this could be/tips? especially as a young woman

Hiking tour in the Swiss alps in September?

I’m planning to book a guided inn‑to‑inn hiking tour on the Via Alpina in the Swiss Alps, September 5–12. I’ve done a fair bit of research, and this one includes the classic villages of Murren, Wengen etc with a moderate pace — generally 2 to 4 hours and 5 to 8 miles of hiking per day.

Right now there are only 2 people signed up. The trip will run regardless but it would be fun to have a few more people along. The group max is 10.

If anyone is interested I'm happy to share more info about the route or operator. I'm not promoting anything, just hoping to connect with a few more solo hikers for a hopefully fun time!

What’s the most unexpectedly romantic city you’ve travelled to?

not even necessarily for dating……..just somewhere that made you feel softer, prettier, more confident or more open to connection somehow……..sometimes a city has a certain energy where people flirt more, dress better, stay out later, talk to strangers more easily etc……..curious what places gave other women that feeling because some cities genuinely make me want to romanticise my whole life 😂

Why Can’t I Find a Woman to Travel With?

I’m looking for a fellow woman traveller, ideally in her 40s who is vegan, someone who enjoys beautiful landscapes, slow travel, good conversations, scenic train rides, cafés, and staying in nice premium hotels.

If this sounds like your kind of travel, feel free to message me 😄

Need suggestions for my 1st solo travel!

Hi everyone! I’m a 25-year-old woman from India planning my first solo international trip for around 7–8 days in August/Sept

I’m looking for a destination that feels peaceful, scenic, culturally rich, and safe for solo female travelers. Right now things have been alot emotionally exhausting (both professional and personal life) I’m not very interested in nightlife or party heavy places I’d rather spend time exploring cafés, local neighborhoods, nature, bookstores, slow living, and everyday culture.

I’d also prefer weather that’s pleasant/slightly chilly at most, but not cold enough to need heavy jackets.

So far, I’ve mainly been researching:

  • Portugal
  • Croatia
  • Italy
  • Montenegro

Open to suggestions !

For people who’ve traveled solo to these places:

  • Which felt the safest and most emotionally relaxing?
  • Which was easiest to navigate for a first-time solo traveler?
  • Would you recommend staying mostly in one city/town or moving around?

Would really appreciate hearing personal experiences!
