Cabangan, Zambales

A relative has been missing for weeks now, and as someone who lives in the province, we consulted a person na may third eye.

We were told na dinala siya to a place na may signage going to Zambales. Somewhere in Cabangan or Cabintian, and we searched - Cabangan, Zambales ang lumabas.

Anyone here from Cabangan, Zambales na familiar sa place or "warehouse" na may mataas na puting fence, sa harap ay rice fields, likod ay mga bundok, and sa likod ng bundok ay body of water? Tabi daw is talahib at palayan.

May nag-iisang puno daw within the area na banana tree that resembles a peacock's tail, most likely a Traveller's Palm tree.

We are not from Zambales kaya nakakapagtaka bakit doon siya nakikita.

For people who are considering buying land in Zambales:

Would you prioritize lower price per sqm or better location/accessibility?

For example:
Property A — ₱3,000/sqm
• farther from town
• less developed surroundings
• cheaper upfront

Property B — ₱4,800/sqm
• closer to establishments
• easier road access
• more convenient for future use

Personally, I’m starting to realize that comparing land based only on price per sqm can be misleading.

What factors do you usually check before deciding that a piece of land is actually a “good deal”?

Would love to hear from people who have already bought property in Zambales.

Sambal language

Hi! I’m curious about the sambal language. Does anyone have any written books, references, poems, and songs that are written in this language? Thanks!

Looking For: Caretaker in Zambales

Looking po kami ng family ko ng caretaker, baka may ma-refer kayong kamag-anak din. Pero preferably hindi taga Zambales.

Tasks: Feed the dogs and clean up poop, cut grass when needed, dispose of trash, and assist sa gate pag lalabas at pasok ang sasakyan. That's it. Hindi kami naguutos or nagmamando. You can sleep or use your phone all day long.

We have a caretaker with this exact setup, our lives are almost perfect until today, he told us that he needs to go back to his province, so we're looking for a replacement. 'Yung kailangan na kailangan lang ng matutuluyan or wala nang family in life, or maybe may partner kayo at gusto niyong bumukod.

Salary/Allowance: P5,000 per month, free lahat, food, water, groceries/snacks, personal care stuff, internet, and kwarto na matutulugan, around 20sqm ang room sa cabin sa backyard. What we eat ay 'yun din ulam mo.

Bonus: the house is up for sale, and once mabenta, I'll give percentage to the caretaker.

Why are we looking for caretaker? The house is not in a subdivision, and our guard dogs are not enough for security, ad we need someone na magbabantay ng property and to take care of our dogs lalo na umaalis at lumuluwas kami ng Manila almost twice a month. Daming akyat bahay sa probinsya.

Getting to know Iba

I’m starting a little journey to really understand Iba, Zambales beyond the usual “quiet province + beautiful beaches.”
I’m looking into the real everyday stuff:
• Electricity & water
• Internet
• Transportation
• Healthcare
• Cost of living
• Flooding & typhoons
• Roads & development
• What it’s actually like to live here
I don’t want to rely only on Google or promotional posts. I want to hear from actual Iba locals.
If you live in Iba or Amungan, what’s one thing you think an outsider should know before moving here?
🌿 Learning Iba, one question at a time.

Zambales Resorts - Sundowners or Kalinto

hi!! to people who have experienced staying in Kalinto and Sundowners, can you share your honest experience? which resort would be a better place to stay in. heard good reviews for both but for Sundowners there are some bad reviews such as excessive flies, old appliances, and unaccommodating staff. while for Kalinto, since they’re a relatively new resort, I haven’t seen much concrete reviews. your honest experience would greatly help us decide which resort to choose. thank you!!
