ZenMarket damaged item claim — 14 days from transaction or parcel arrival?

I received a car CD player through ZenMarket from Mercari. The seller stated it was working before removal, but when I received it, the CD mechanism was defective. It does not properly accept CDs, makes abnormal noise, ejects the CD after a short time, and scratched two of my CDs during testing.

I contacted ZenMarket as soon as I received and tested the item, with photos and video. Support replied that more than 14 days had passed since the Mercari transaction was completed, so they cannot contact the seller.

However, ZenMarket’s shipping help page says damaged/missing parcel issues should be reported within 14 days of receiving the parcel.

Has anyone dealt with this before? For insurance/compensation, does ZenMarket count the 14 days from the Mercari transaction completion date or from the date the parcel is received?

From chile, thanks zenmarket!! The haul of today.

Hello from Chile! I treated myself to a birthday present this month, all because i wanted some photobooks of former idols. I also got a special autographed card (never related to Pokémon) that I won in an auction, and a huge thank you to Zenmarket for the little keychain gift. Originally, I was worried about the shipping, but after reading about the customs situation in my city, I decided to use DHL, and it arrived safely without any problems.
Also its my first time with Zenmarket.

New Search Feature Unusable on Auctions

So normally I search up a book title so I can sort it by added date and price on auctions but that feature is removed today and it became something more like mercari and rakuten. This is a huge downgrade and possibly alienating me as a customer because everyday I checked what is new from some series that I am collecting and now that option is gone. I search up a title and it won't let me sort by date so I can't see what is new or not. Please fix this , I really like using zenmarket but this is a deal breaker for me.

Strange activity on my account?

I’ve had a zenmarket account for many years and have used it constantly, I’m in the highest credit limit amount too since I buy a lot. But I’ve never seen this issue before.

In my events tab it shows an item was cancelled that I never even added to be purchased??? How did this happen? I’ve already reached out to them and currently awaiting a response. Meanwhile an item I did try to purchase shows sold out currently so I’m very confused on what has happened here. 🤔

Buying for the first time

Hi everybody!
My quesiton is, I have something called "zenpoints" that supposedly covers 500 yen of shipping costs, and what I want to buy is asking me to pay 4150 yen (total). The annoying thing is that it's not like you just "pay" like on AliExpress; you have to add money to the site.

Let's say I add 4150 yen to cover the total. It doesn't tell me anywhere whether the Zenpoints are being used or not, and I don't want to be given the option to pay 500 yen with the Zenpoints after adding the money and seeing how the payment is progressing (which you can't see if you don't add balance). I'd hate for it to give me the option to pay 500 yen with the Zenpoints, leaving me with 500 yen on a site I'll never use again.

The question might be a bit long and specific, but if anyone has any information or better common sense than me, it would be appreciated!

Also, if it makes any difference, im From Argentina

A figure for me and 2 dresses for her

I bought her with the hair strands broken btw. I will be glueing those back on at some point. I opted for reinforced package since I didn't feel like glueing back any other parts and that worked out very well! Also appreciate the little ZenMarket keychain, very cute.

I dont understand why my product is being removed from my cart.

I wanted to buy some clothes from Zenmarket through Amazon Japan. I went to the amazon seller and bought the clothing item in one colourway with no issues. It was approved, then I deposited funds and purchased the item. However, I wanted to buy the same item in another colourway but it gives me this message here every time I try to get the item approved in my basket. I'm not understanding something here. Please help. Its the same exact product, same seller, same listing page. The only difference is the colour of the clothes.

Every Mercari items unavailable

I was looking at items for a bit and then all of a sudden, every single item that were listed from mercari became unavailable. Items from other websites are still available but Mercari has the most items. I am from Canada so this might be a location issue but a few hours ago everything was fine. Has anyone else experienced this problem recently? I hope this is just a website error that can be fixed.

Help needed … shipping fee !

So I shipped a parcel via EMS to Oman. But because of the on going war situation Japan post accepted my parcel processed it at the outward exchange office and returned it back to zenmarket warehouse … ( my thoughts: why did they accept in the first place)

It was a big parcel and I had paid 14000 JPY for the shipping.

  1. It has been 4 days since the parcel was returned, yet, the return is not reflected in my account.

  2. Will I get the refund of the 14000JPY ?

P.S. Shipped more than 600,000 JPY worth of stuff previously. My experience with ZENMARKET is getting worse by the day .

added funds, forgot to put reference then sent wrong transaction ID#

I deposited some funds with Wise to my account, but forgot to put reference code. I opened a case and they told me they could not verify the deposit and I realized I put the wrong transaction ID number. I have now sent all the correct information in the messages and my deposit receipt to their support email as instructed, but they haven’t responded to me.

Will I still get my funds?

Shipping methods - help!

Used to be a pretty frequent Zenmarket user, but I haven't ordered anything since before tariffs. There's a lot of conflicting information so I thought I'd see if anyone can clear this up for me:

I used to ship everything DHL, for both fast arrival and safety of my items. Are they still a reliable service with regard to providing documentation to the USA, if one is buying fabric goods (plush, clothing, etc) and/or video media (blurays)? Or should I be using ECMS as I've seen recommended on this subreddit?

Second question: If I do use ECMS, will my items be damaged or lost? I've heard a lot of packages are mishandled that way, but I may be wrong.

Thanks for your help, all. :)

Need help with ZenMarket shipping for a TWICE lightstick Ver.1 to Brazil

Hi! This is my first time buying from ZenMarket and I don’t really understand how shipping works yet 😭

I bought a TWICE Candy Bong Version 1 and I’m worried it could get damaged during shipping to Brazil. Has anyone here ordered a lightstick through ZenMarket before? Did it arrive safely?

I also wanted to know if I should pay extra for stronger/protective packaging, or if the standard packaging is usually enough for fragile items like lightsticks.

Any help or advice would be appreciated 😭 Thank you!

AVOID FEDEX AT ALL COSTS

Never use this company, ever. Run the other way, use other methods, but never rely on this company. Slow, expensive, customer service is useless and they'll retain your package for weeks even if the documentation is on point and already delivered. Not even good for national deliveries. Especially bad for importing packages (very important for use zenmarket users). NEVER TRUST THEM. Use other alternatives. All online reviews are terrible. I'll never use them again for as long as I can remember this incident.

Save yourself headaches, money and worries. Don't use FedEx.

Question about handling fees with ECMS shipping to USA

So I have refrained from using Zenmarket since tariffs were enforced for USA shipments, I remember rushing to ship all my stuff before the deadline, which I ended up failing and had to pay tariffs to ship my leftovers.

That time I used DHL and they charged me "Handling fees" which were almost the same cost as the tariffs.

I was wondering if anyone had to pay "Handling fees" with ECMS shipping? or is there any other shipping option available which doesn't charge "Handling fees"?

Thanks!

A ZenMarket haul of woodblock prints

Here is a haul of nine different woodblock prints that I received in a recent shipment from ZenMarket. As always, everything was packed as solid as a rock, which is much appreciated for fragile items like these, and nothing was damaged in transit. (The one that was folded into quarters was already like that when I bought it, and I’m pretty sure that I can fix it.)

#1 is Iwao Akiyama, #2 is Teruo Isomi, #3, #5, and #9 are Fumio Kitaoka, #4 is Seiichiro Konishi, #7 is Takayoshi Ito, and #8 is Makoto Ueno. #6 is kind of a mystery to me - the signature looks like it says “T. Yatsui,” but I’m not familiar with that artist. Need to do some research!

IEEPA Tarrif Refunds?

Does anyone know if zenmarket made an announcement regarding IEEPA Tarrif Refunds for USA customers?
I’ve heard the first wave of IEEPA Tarrif refunds officially began hitting importers bank accounts on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026. Since USA customers shipping out through zenmarket technically aren’t the importers (Import of record) how would zenmarket handle this kind of situation since they are the Import of Record?
