It’s been almost a month. I don’t know if my progress is good. I’ve tried strengthening fundamentals that I struggle with, I’ve tried focusing on drawing stuff I like. I don’t know how to proceed. I’m thinking of paying for a class. I’ve been reading how to draw comics the marvel way, working on advice given from this subreddit, watching videos but I see and feel no progression. This post is mostly just me complaining so I apologize but any suggestions or help is still greatly appreciated :)

What is the next step?

I’ve focused on perspective, proportion, shape, now I have the fundamental figure I don’t know what to do next to get to my goal of drawing comic book characters. Any and all advice is appreciated

I have tried to learn to draw on and off for the past few years and always get burnt out at a lack of guidance and progress.

What do you recommend for someone who is just starting out?

I have heard several ways of starting, all claiming that their way is the right way, “start with the basics”, “don’t start with basics, just draw and learn on the way”.

It is all very overwhelming and upsetting that I cannot find a good way to start.

If anyone can recommend some outlets for learning or starting off I will gladly appreciate all suggestions.
