Airline cancelled my flight, Indigo approved full refund, but MakeMyTrip deducted ₹1,100+ as convenience fee — is this fair?
Booked an Indigo flight via MakeMyTrip for ₹5,332. Airline itself cancelled the flight due to “operational maintenance” and confirmed FULL refund of ₹5,332.
But MakeMyTrip is refunding only ~₹4,218 saying “convenience fee is non-refundable and others”. Disconnected the call when asked for details. I have call recording. I also have email from Indigo stating I am entitled for a full refund.
Why should customers lose money when the AIRLINE cancels the flight? Customer care even admitted that booking directly with Indigo would have resulted in full refund.
This feels unfair and misleading.
