Do you think the addition of a "depends" option in what is essentially a "yes" or "no" type poll muddies the results of said poll and is an otherwise meaningless response?

Just really dislike the inclusion of the "depends" option in polls that really don't need it because it's usually pointless, is a cop-out answer, makes the results feel much more muddled, and/or is often a "yes" or a "no" in disguise. Wondering if anybody else feels that way.
