Drop Attack?

Hey all, yesterday I’m thinking I may have experienced my first “drop attack” and I was hoping people with experience with them could weigh in.

What I experienced:
Walked up a single floor of stairs, when I was at the top I suddenly felt really light headed (the same feeling when you stand up too fast sometimes). I stood for a moment (like 2 seconds) and it only intensified. I was feet away from my bed at this point so I tried walking toward it, but within maybe 2 steps my balance was completely off and I ended up falling sideways into the wall. Luckily because I was so light headed for the few seconds beforehand I already had my hand out to the wall for stability. Then I just sort of slumped down the wall and crumpled to the floor with my balance completely out of whack. I then had mild vertigo for about 2 hours (my normal vertigo attacks are severe and last about 8 hours).

Quick background:
I’ve been diagnosed with Ménière’s for 3.5 years now. Over the past 5 months I’ve had continuous hearing fluctuations, but it has been down about 80% of that time. Last night I had just taken a hot shower, gone downstairs and was double-stepping my way back upstairs with laundry when the attack came on. So my heart rate was increased and my body was hot (no idea if those may have contributed, as they haven’t to me before).

Thoughts? Experience shares?
