criticising a criticism
ragathas relationship with pomni was rushed in terms of narrative and what we see, yes.
however i do not understand why people use that to discredit ragapom or their general friendship. its very much possible (and true) that they were the bestest of friends by the time the finale rolled around, its just that alot of the development happens offscreen because the show was trying to force jax into every moment it could.
hmm...
either she was lying OR everything she's said outside of the show is not canon...
jax strangled ragatha
image explains the theory, its pretty reasonable all things considered
edit: im just making this edit to clear up my reasoning before people get confused. Ragatha said that jax "made her" promise not to talk about ribbit. its unclear what that was but it leads me to believe he strangled her or got physical in some way, it could also explain how he knows what happens when she holds her breath? i think the abstraction glitching on the screen is covering up him strangling her, and the scene before where pomni gets choked by jax was meant to be 'foreshadowing'
edit 2: it seems people completely misunderstood the post (and apparently what a theory is) so im going to explain further
Q: 'why didnt ragatha move in the struggle'
A: she did, even if miniscule, shes a ragdoll and wouldnt put up a huge struggle against an enraged jax.
Q: 'it would show him doing it'
A: no she would not. that would be terrible writing even for gooses standards.
like i said previously, it all clicks and theres nothing that disproves it narratively. theres only evidence for and not against. the only thing you can point out is the fact that ragatha barely moved, which i already explained but realistically, showing ragatha on the floor or in a completely different position and pose would kind of make it too obvious what happened, we're not meant to know what happened there hence the abstraction glitch obstructing it, its ambiguous for a reason and this is my interpretation.
edit 3: someone reposted my post in a jax fan subreddit for some reason so im expecting a ton of hate. yay
