OPINION
While the vast majority of people will certainly use Nicole with TTDS and, unfortunately, for good reasons since her ATK requirements are INSANELY high and difficult to achieave due to only relying on artifacts stats to reach the cap of her buff, I do believe that using an ATK weapon is still a good option for her, as it will make the rotation less strict and allows her to open the rotation by fueling Durin to burst at the start of the fight and allowing you to access most of you buffs at the start of the fight, though it also means you cannot burst in that case since most of her quills will go for the supports instead of Varka.
But the performance of this rotation will heavily depends on build quality and weapon as, in my case, I got pretty lucky to be able to have access to a 5* weapon and decent build to be able to almost reach her cap, so I heavily encourage to test and experiment your own build and how you can make it work.
To conclude, Nicole, Prune and the new set are an insanely big upscale for Varka (for reference my best DPS on Varka pre 6.6 was 154k on abyss rules) and make his pyro team not only very strong but also much more easy to use, still didn't try his other teams though.
