Entitled families at TUKS graduation.

I was at my boyfriend's graduation on Monday and it was very nice and I was so proud of him for getting his Bachelors in Honours degree in Geology with distinction.

But I was lucky to be able to hear his name being called. A lot of families weren't so lucky. Because of the absolute disrespect some people had for anyone other than their own child. They were yelling so loudly up until the child got their certificate handed to them at the end of the red carpet that you couldn't hear some children's names being called.

I understand that some of these people are so proud of their children being the first to graduate but your child is not the only one who deserves their moment. There were even some people who brought whistles and horns (thank goodness they didn't bring vuvvzelas).

That is all.

ETA: It's also not about the fact they were yelling. Just that they kept yelling even when other students' names were being called. That's the disrespectful part.
