New squid needs to be nerfed immediately

It's not even been 2 days and I already have a vehement hatred for this thing.

I like to think of myself as an aquatic expert.

I've mained every aquatic, and used every aquatic to kill every other aquatic.

So when I say this dammed squid is the most broken, unbalanced creature to ever hit the seas I mean it.

You can't anklebite it, it's ability has almost no cooldown and completely stops anklebiters, and it's way too manuverable with its backwards dart on top of that.

You can't bully it with heavier creatures, it's way faster than you because of its dart and can hit you from super far away while darting.

You can't meet it on equal footing, it's, once again, stupidly fast with a stupidly short ability cooldown, not to mention it's dps throws aside any crumb of balance it could have at this speed teir.

It has the damage, weight, and health of a t5 aquatic well having abilities and mauverabilty of a t4 aquatic.

you can't outmanuver it, because of its abilities and dart.

you can't even overpower it, because it can just delete your entire health bar without having to put it's hurtbox anywhere near you.

Your only hope is to avoid them like the plauge.

But, WHOOPS, it has invisibility too.

So it can just appear, make it impossible to escape, then kill you, without you being able to do anything about it.

It outclasses eigion, it outclasses syroudon, it outclasses sarc, kohi, scrimpeii, flipli, and galeostra.

This thing has no viable counterplay.

You either play as one, or get killed by one, and that's stupid.

.

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Turrim, like any new t5, has been swarming servers en mass, making certain people say it requires a nerf.

But does it really?

As someone who has become very familiar with PvP and how a creatures stats would preform at a glance, I would call myself quite qualified in this matter.

So, let's check out our towering friend here!

First off, we shall look at what makes it good, then what it trades for what it has.

Turrim is an incredibly tanky creature. Breath resistance and 90% resistance to all damaging ailments besides corrosion keep it healthy against most anklebiters, while it's high health and powerful 2.25 unbreakable make it very hard to overwhelm.

But it's not all bells and whistles.

Turrim is just as slow as every other super, and has terrible health regeneration, wich means damage done to it sticks for a long time. its frostbite weakness means it can be shut down easily, especially by Creatures that use it heavily.

Creatures that rely more on bite speed than raw damage almost entirely ignore the benefits from unbreakable, and thus are very good against it.

Turrim seems pretty balanced so far, but let's look at it's matchups to prove the point.

.

**turrims favorable matchups**

Turrim has favorable matchups against burst and heavy damage Creatures.

Most of them rely on doing heavy damage that compensates for a slow bite cooldown.

Examples include:

Hygos,

Cald,

Sarc,

Kora,

Ect.

Turrim may be very powerful against these creatures, but it can be overwhelmed.

For every additional heavy hitter, turrims chances drop exponentially.

**turrims unfavorable matchups**

Turrim is at its worst against Creatures that spec more into survival, or corrosion and frostbite stackers.

Because turrim has no ailments to stop persistent opponents, the creatures with enough regen to shrug off turrims minimal damage make matchups nearly unwinnable for turrim.

Frostbite and corrosion are ailments turrim doesn't resist, frostbite being a negative weakness.

This can easily be abused.

Examples include:

Haze,

Geor,

Lact,

Golg,

Penta,

Despi,

Ect...

Turrim can leverage its breath and shock area to scare off/run from these opponents, but if they are persistent turrim will run out of juice before they do.

.

**final thoughts**

Turrim is not unbalanced.

Turrim is simply a creature that does one thing very, very well, and that is counter burst damage.

Tanks, corrosion stackers, and frostbite stackers counter turrim hard, and if just a lact and geor can kill the same 3 Rev spamming turrim 10 times before dying, it certainly isn't broken.

If you guys have any more creatures you would like me to cover to combat potential of like i did turrim, or suggest builds for your favorite creatures, feel free to drop it in the comments.
