New pillows, something wrong?

The old pillows were disintegrating. Hastily threw them away not anticipating replacements being challenging.
I bought a replacement from Leisure Time - they have it as part 77444, but it is uncomfortable how it arcs (see pic); literally a pain in the neck. Old one didn’t have that gap. Some vendors have a different part number - some say this one is for 2015 and newer, some say it should be 74316/74317 - and some say that is for Highlife.
Curious if the old pillow had just softened over time, if this is just a particularly stiff replacement, or wrong part!
UPDATE: local distributor advised soaking the pillow in warm water for 15 mins and then kneading it. He compared a new one on the showroom floor to one they’ve had two years and there was a difference.
