Hi,

I'm going around submitting my books to a few publishers, but Chronicle is the first one that I encountered that wants me to submit via email with some firm rules (word count under 1000, one story only, etc). I was thinking of just submitting what I have, despite the main submission being 1770 words + I added two other manuscripts to the deck to show series potential.
Do you think that will immediately disqualify me?
Also, is it normal to submit via email? I submitted to Brown Paper Fox yesterday, and they had me do everything via a secure portal.

Hi, I bought a vintage pinky ring with “natural diamonds”. I just picked up the ring and noticed a shallow crack on the surface of one. I’ve never really seen a diamond with a crack, so I wanted to get another opinion before I reach out to the seller on Etsy. Maybe this is normal. I’m just not entirely sure. The stone is also brighter/more colorful from afar than the rest so I’m wondering if they replaced it?
