Hello!
I’ve recently been accepted into UCSB as a transfer student and downloaded Reddit to try and get some advice for housing.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on if it’s better to take on campus housing for the first year, or to find housing outside of campus. Any advice from any perspective whether it be from the financially, socially, accessibility aspects are greatly appreciated!

Also if on campus seems to be the way to go, are there any ways to find a group to sign up with? Or to see if anybody wants to form a group or needs a member? I’ve found quite a few pages on Facebook for off-campus listings and groups, but not any for on.
