My car got rear ended on 7th of April, police involved. I summit vent number to the insurance company and today I was told that insurance company didn't have the third party details, required me to pay $1000 excess???
Like how? Isn't other party details recorded in the case file/report? Or I am the one who require to do the job?

Could anyone please share some info/experience please? This is my first time being hit and claiming insurance
