update: passed on my 9th go

hi all, in july 2022 i posted my FINAL DRIVING TEST AT TEST NUMBER 9 and how it went/my advice and i just wanted to give a 4 year update of my driving experience that could hopefully make people feel more confident as new drivers.

just as a recap - it took me 9 times in inner london to pass my test due to a mix of reasons and due to it being covid the tests were even stricter (it was the biggest L when 5 mins into my test i had to go back to the centre due to covid rules lmao i was so fuming).

so 4 years in and i'm now the unofficial designated driver in all friendship outings, family outings and i've owned the same car for 3 years and it only has a TINY bump after accidentally crashing into my house when i forgot to put my car into reverse when parking lol. but apart from that for the past 4 years i've been driving to work and back every day, driving in inner london roads with little problems (apart from the odd road rage due to those L PLATE MOTORCYLISTS!!!) but i've found my confidence in driving honestly couldn't be higher, and i wanted to just give my story if it helps boost confidence.

don't let anyone tell you that you have to pass first time to be a 'safe' driver. i've had no accidents in the past 4 years and i've at least spent 2 months of my life in my car (a lil exaggeration hehe). and there's no shame AT ALL about failing multiple times. it doesn't make you a bad driver and doesn't define your future driving experience. my friends and family always compliment me on my driving and i've really enjoyed knowing i can go around independently and that doesn't change just bc it took me 9 times to pass.

hope this helps! x
