Has anyone ever tried and succeeded with a bypass filter for fridge model #PRFG2383AFB it usually takes filter PWF-2

Brick veneer as kitchen backsplash
We are looking at redoing our kitchen and so far our favourite backsplash choice is a brick veneer.
Has anyone had experience with brick veneer as a backsplash? Is it a bad idea? Does it stain if we were to seal it every year?
