Long term caretaker for disabled sibling, how to re-enter workforce?
I feel like I've cooked myself here, but life is what life is. I moved home in 2019 to be the full time caretaker for my disabled sister. This year she passed on and now I need to start working again. I've applied to probably 100 entry level career type jobs, but nothing.
Some stats about me. Graduated with degree in biology in 2017, went into medical research and did that for 2 years, then left and havent worked since. I'm starting a bachelor's in accounting next month and hope to become an accountant once I finish that, but looking for bookkeeping or payroll assistant, bank teller type jobs have turned up nothing. Started applying for research again recently just to do something, but haven't had luck yet. What do y'all think, is it possible for me to get back into a career job with this history? Or should I bite it and go do waitressing or some other service job until I finish my second bachelor's?
