Is the executive branch (aka department of education) able to change the “discretionary income” calculation? After all this mess, a really simple solution would be to have our rent/mortgage and/or at least private student loan amounts calculated into what our “discretionary income” is. Having our payments based off of just AGI is just not practical and short-sighted. Just thinking into the future for possible hope and solution.

Anyone else see their parent’s PPL showing up on their student aid account? It never was a part of my account before
