Is it best to keep them?

I have tons of these caterpillars on my teddybear sunflower plant. Im leaning towards letting them live because the plant has already flowered. Is it better to just let them live or kill them?

Why wont my mob farm spawn mobs?

I followed a farm tutorial step by step and it hasnt spawned any mobs at all. I made sure it was 128 blocks above the surface and no light gets in. Any ideas?
