Granby closing :(

Now that Granby elementary is closing, they say James Monroe is where most the children in my neighborhood will be sent. Is James Monroe crowded? I feel like the schools will have worse crowding after this. I've read about bad ratings and bullying, but I take that with a grain of salt, as Granby also has bad ratings but my experience has been great. My son works far above his grade level and has ADHD.

Is there a chance some kids could be sent to Larchmont? I live right on the borderline of the Granby and Larchmont school. Larchmont seems the most ideal. Why did they open Granby and bus kid all the way there when Larchmont and James Monroe is closer? The zoning here is weird.

Does anyone know where to find information about how many student are currently attending James Monroe vs Larchmont? Is it possible the school board is being influenced to keep certain groups out of Larchmont?
