Hi everyone,

I've just bought three mirrors with lights for my self-cut setup. For the first few months, I want to focus on low tapers, then eventually try mid and high tapers once I get better.

I'm deciding between the Wahl 5-Star Magic Clip Gold & Black with its matching trimmer and the TPOB Slime 2 bundle. I'll also get all the guards I need.

My plan for low tapers is to keep it simple:

1. Trimmer on the bottom section.
2. Magic Clip, no guard, lever open.
3. No guard, lever closed, flicking out slightly higher.
4. #0.5 (1,5 mm) guard to remove any visible lines.
5. #1 (3 mm) guard only if needed.

I'll use the same approach around the nape, keeping the taper low and the sides full.

What do you guys think? Which setup would you recommend, and is this a good technique for a complete beginner?
