How much are graduate trainees actually being paid these days?

I was recently offered a 2-year graduate trainee contract with a remuneration of just $150/month. I ended up declining it because after factoring in transport, food, rent, and basic living costs, it honestly felt impossible to survive on.

I understand being a graduate trainee means you're still learning, but at some point the compensation starts feeling disrespectful rather than developmental.

Are these kinds of offers normal now, or am I justified in feeling insulted by it?
