What makes an experienced medical writer CV stand out?

Senior medical writer here (UK). I’m planning on quitting my job and travelling for a few months. I’m polishing up my cv so I can apply for jobs whilst I’m travelling. I’ve been looking at current job postings on LinkedIn out of interest and notice that a lot of SMW and PMW roles have 50-100 ‘people who have clicked apply’. I’m wondering what would make a cv stand out against a crowd of equally qualified applicants. At SMW/PMW level we have likely all had the same kind of responsibilities and created the same kind of content. So what is it that would make a recruiter pick CV A over CV B.

Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks! Particularly interested to hear from people who have been on hiring teams

Help me plan my Indonesia trip

Hello! I’ll be going on a once in a life time 1.5 month trip to Indonesia in September and October this year. The goal is to dive as much as possible whilst I am there. I am OW certified with 25 dives currently. At the moment my loose plan is to start in gili t and do my AOW before moving to nusa penida. I have never dived with strong currents before so I’m hoping nusa would be a good place to try this out. The dream would be to include Komodo and raja ampat in this trip, however I want to dive within my limits and I’m unsure if I will be experienced enough for these sites by this point.

Please let me know your thoughts! I expect I’ll have ~40 dives with some current experience by the time I’d head to Komodo/raja. If this is stupidity, where else should I consider going instead with my experience level?

I guess logistics should also play a factor ie where would I feasibly be able to get to during this 1.5 month time frame.

And help would be great. Thanks!
