I made this like a week ago and since then other people have made this joke

I’ve recently been in the market for an American M17 gas mask but I’m unsure which size will fit me.
I wear a size 7/½ hat (that’s 60 cm for the Europeans).
I’m sorry if this is a stupid question, I’m new to collecting.
