Potential data breach from my gym
To cut a long story short, I allowed my friend follow me into the gym, he is a member, he just didn't have his fob. Fully accept that that is on me, no arguments.
But, my gym sent me an email about it and included in the email was a screenshot of me entering the gym and the log of sign ins next to it. They did not redact any of the names or times in their screenshot. So I just got randomly emailed a short list of about 7 or 8 gym members full names and the time they signed in to the gym. I know it's not a ridiculous amount of information, but it still seems like a non-zero amount of info that could potentially be used to find people. It wouldn't take an absurd amount of effort to find more information on someone just with a name and a gym membership that is presumably in close proximity to either home or work. Particularly somewhere like the NT. Is this illegal?
