My Toxic Hydreigon Story
Now feel free to share just how terrible and despicable I am but I just wanted to apologize to the individual whom I may have caused to uninstall the game. I was hoping maybe they’d find my apology here and consider rejoining the game.
To start, I run a diabolical, ruthless, stroke inducing Hydreigon deck. Earlier today I ended up playing a happy go lucky Lucario deck. This individual had the perfect draw, he had Lucario turn 3, donphan turn 3, Hitmonchan, who started by slashing my Deion down to 10hp and all but winning…until of course I got the guaranteed turn 3 Hydreigon which 1 energy swings for 130. So naturally as all Hydreigons magically emerge turn 3, I got my setup, lucky Ice popped all the way to full just as I’m about to swing and somehow got to keep my ice pop, of course due to the natural connection of the game where ice pop sucks in many decks but exists to save Hydreigon from losing games.
Anyway, I get a swing on his Hitmonchan and the thing is dead. So he brings out his Lucario for a nice Lucario hit. Only until I am able to once again lucky ice pop to full health and retain it again, even after hitting myself for 30 to get in my energy to swing for another dastardly 130.
Good news for him though, he had the perfect draw and throws in donphan for a nice whap on my hydreigon, but little does he realize, I can heal to almost full with my ice pop again….and better yet, I may not have made 13 correct heads in a row with the ice pop but at least I drew another one to heal to full before hitting his donphan.
This is where I started to feel bad, I let him hit me two turns in a row but kept healing with my second lucky ice pop. By this time I presume his phone was nearly shattered from rage, so what I did was just Cyrus his Lucario and end the match.
I added him because I wanted to at least gift him as an apology, but all the cards he needed I didn’t have, so my finger slipped on my phone and I gifted him a hydreigon. At first I thought maybe it’ll help him win. But then I realized he did not need a hydreigon at all. He was simply an individual looking to play the game for fun, an individual with morals and ethics. It is then this all clicked in my head and I realized I had once fallen for the same trap and given into the hydreigon ways…I am one of the most toxic players known to man.
I am sure this story hit home for many of you mere mortal beings who try to use a fun deck to try and enjoy the game…
