Fantasy Shrinkflation Menu
Sailed the Fantasy last week and we had a new menu each night except Pirate night (go figure). I wish I had taken pictures but I'm sure they are all online already but I had a couple of take aways from the new menus. Dinner is faster, which I know many people wanted but to me it feels very rushed. Specialty cocktails and after dinner drinks have been removed from the menu. All appetizers, soups and salads are grouped as "small plates". I noticed the first timers in my group were all selecting one where I was ordering an appetizer and soup or salad. Some items have undergone a Shrinkflation overhaul. The duck confit for example is now probably 60% of the portion of duck and wrapped in dough to make it appear the same volume.
I figure there's probably more details I didn't catch. Overall quality was hit and miss and service felt like a downgrade. Would love to hear others thoughts on the new menus.
Edit: After googling I suppose the proper term is "Skimpflation" for all those replies that suggest ordering more.
